It doesn't matter who it is, whether it's CNN, PMSNBC, or Faux News. All of their newscasters annoy the holy hell out of me with their incessant blathering/narration over stories where the images do a solid enough job of conveying meaning. But oh no. The news anchors have to weigh in (zing!) on all the minutia to the point where they exclude the story they're reporting. For example, I just walked into the breakroom at work where Fox News was on. They were covering the Pope as he officiated over mass. The news casters are blathering on and on an on some more when they say, "Alright let's go to the mass and listen in." The next words from the actual event were as follows:

"The mass is over. Go in peace."

Did you want to hear the mass?

Personally I'd rather here details about the story than listen to the ceremony.

**Edit.  On principal I agree that the newscasters generally don't add anything with their commetary.  But in this particular case I wouldn't really care that much.

Not necessarily being that I'm not Catholic, but how many times do you get the chance to hear the Pope speak at a mass on one's home turf?

Every 3-5 years.

Didn't realize he showed up that frequently.

To be fair, that was the previous pope, who seemed like he was more of a partier...

She switched channels, and now when I go to check the news I look to see if it's her shift before going to Fox News.

Overall fox news has the hottest newscasters by far.    There were a couple coworkers of the opposite political persuasion in the break room with me the other day, and they all switched it to Fox.   I asked why, and they said 'the chicks are HOT'.   Tongue

I guess you like blondes.

Robin in the Morning on Headline News for the win! Except she is too damn perky, I want to slap her sometimes.

Oh there is no doubt, Robin is smokin:

I'd get her 'hot off the presses' any day of the week.   biggrin

I can't take perky first thing in the morning. I'll agree to her hotness, but I have to watch her on mute.
