I'm not a piece of shit, but I understand you're frustrated which is why I've not reported that offense. I'm not interested in driving you off, pissing you off, or doing whatever it is that you think I'm doing.

You are (by my estimation) a fairly smart person; you're just suffering from cognitive dissonance. Zeke, I've not really attacked you, but instead used some of the same tricks you use to skirt topic. If you found it frustrating then perhaps you've had some of your own medicine.

You said you weren't a birther, and then claimed that you felt that Obama was illegitimately the POTUS because of his birth location. You then went on to state that you support that idea because of your political alignment.

Consider for a moment that he IS American. Now what? Does that change whether you support him in his (generally) centrist actions? Does it change you not wanting him as president because he's a democrat?

Now consider him a naturalized American - born abroad, but raised in America. Does this change his experiences as a man? Does it change his allegiance? Does it compromise the safety of your national security?

Lastly, consider that instead of Obama, it was Hillary in office. Would this change your disagreement of them being in power?

We have almost to the numbers 1/10 the population of the US. Would you speak for 30 million Americans, confident that you represent their interests?

We Canadians hold near and dear to us the fact that we are NOT Americans. Just as the US holds dear the fact that they are NOT British (neither are we, although we still have ties to the royal family in name only). We also enjoy the ignorance of our southern neighbors (hit up Youtube and search for "Rick Mercer" and "Talking with Americans" for example).

I can name all 50 states, at one point all of their capitol cities. Can you name the 10 provinces, 3 territories and their capitols?

I help Ron and Keith out here at GT, and am good friends with some of the staff (I like all of them, but some I've known for over a decade). At GG I was a lurker - I was part of the original staff at CG and then GT in its infancy. For me to say I hate America would be wrong. (perhaps it couldn't be "more" wrong ).
