12 Million New Jobs in the Next 4 Years
«

Heard an interesting piece on NPR yesterday on the claim that Romney's 'five point plan' would add 12 million new jobs over the next four years if he is elected. The Chief Economist at Moody's Analytics agress but notes that he believes it will happen
no matter who wins the election.
Thought it was worth sharing.

Planet Money said something similar when they did a piece about Scott Walker (They talked to him before the union thing) when he made job promises campaigning for Governor. The people running for the office promised x jobs which was in line with what the state was expected to bring in anyway.
For reference the program was called "How many jobs has Scott Walker created?". Show number was 277.

Yeah, that's 3 million per year or 250,000/month. Better than recent history, but about average for a modest expansion, historically. There's good reason to believe that we'll achieve that rate when we get past the double uncertainties of the election and the fiscal cliff.
