I cannot believe those afternoon games. First My Rams who never win in seattle come back from death to pull it out. That makes me happy and sad since its the first time i picked against them. THen the 49ers win, The Ravens win. Even the Falcons lose to Detroit. Sigh.... Hmmm wonder If I change the time on my computer to 10 am Sunday at about 8pm sunday and then send my picks, Maybe I can get some more right then and no one would notice.

Come on, Green Bay. Let's have our fifth straight 23 point week. That's me, the model of consistency.

The only good thing about tonight's game was that the top three players went with the Pack like I did, so I didn't lose any more ground, but I am still 5 games down from the leader. That's it, no more sending my picks in super early like I did for week 5. I am gonna back to sending them in on late Saturday Night.

I was pretty upset at my measly 16 points this week but seeing that this week's scoring average is 16.09 I don't feel so bad.

It's going to take a little time to realize that Green Bay sucks now and Detroit doesn't.
At least I'm still within shouting distance of the top slot. You've gotta screw up some time, Diller, and when you to, I'll be right there to pounce like that jungle cat I am!

It's going to take a little time to realize that Green Bay sucks now and Detroit doesn't. Yes, it is. I had Tennessee last night, then thought to myself: -GB can't possibly lose 3 in a row at Lambeau -It's Brett Frickin' Favre. He won't allow them to go 1-4. Those notions need to be stricken from my head, and sooner rather than later.

Here's some notions that need to be stricken from my head:
-The Giants, Lions & Chargers are the same crappy teams that they were last year.
-The Cowboys & Packers are as good as they were last year.
-The Bengals are going be a playoff team this year.
-Joe Gibbs is going to turn around the Redskins this year

Took me five weeks, but I finally figured this one out at least. I think I may end up picking the Bears over the Skins next week, which may be the first and only time I pick my home team all year.

WOOHOO!!!
1 for 1 with a correct lock...
Of course I didn't get sundays picks in on time...so I only got 3 points for the week...but that's a damn good win percentage.

I need a primer on the Jaguars. Are they just teases?
So far, the thorns in my side: KC (0/4), BAL (1/5), and GB (1/5).
I say victory and they say negatory I say quandary and they say mastery victory, negatory, quandary, mastery Let's call the whole thing off

Mitma, do you really think Zax WANTS you to do well? How embarassing would it be for him if his wife beat him at his own pick'em pool?

Well even before that bad advice last night, I don't think he was in any fear of me beating him. I just keep telling myself he is ahead because he figured out the system after 3 years...this is my first try! (plus he watches football all day sunday, and me, not so much)

Mitma, you just keep trying. I'll try to give better advice from here on out. FYI, with the further likely fragmentation of the former GG community now that brutesquad.net has launched, I'll be posting this thread here and over there until/unless the majority of the community chooses one site over the other.
