the unboxing vid gives you a great look at the finished ship. I heard about this about 6 or 7 months ago and they described it as movie scale quality and you can see why. Awesome!

I'm as big a Browncoat as the next guy, but anyone who spends $2,500 on that has more money than sense.

The same could be said for just about any collectible. It's worth whatever a collector is willing to pay.

Actually, the market for that bad boy is the fan with disposable cash. Im sure they wont sell a ton of these but for what they are, handcrafted high quality models, I dont see the price as all that crazy. I do see myself purchasing one as an act of insanity but for someone with the money and the love of the series, I can see it easily.

It's not about money. It's about love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.

It's less than a certain forum-goer spent to swap spit with a "professional" at a club. Sounds like a sensible purchase to me. Oh and if I didn't have kids to provide for, I'd be all over this thing.

It was this moment that took the movie from being a little ho-hum to “holy shit, did that shark just eat a plane!?”

The obvious solution is to get drunk and put her on your credit card.
The ship, not the professional.

For $2500 I would expect something that a) I could step into, or b) could actually fly.

She may not look like much but she's got it where it counts. The ship, not the professional.

I'm not even gay, but throw in a date with Nathan Fillion and I'd probably be there. Throw in a date with Inara and I'm there with bells on.
