I thought it was pretty funny. What better way to keep someone completely off balance?

Ok....knowing that it still isn't as funny as some of his stuff (at least I assume it is a guy who write it)  Some of them are hilarious and this one as sort of ... ehh..

I would say most of xkcd is knowing the joke.

I part of me really doesn't like the idea of bringing something non-xkcd into this thread, but it just seems to fit the theme so well...needs to be seen by people who will appreciate it  icon_wink

This one is just amazing.  How much time did it take him?

damn, impressive.  I wonder if there will ever be a version where you can zoom in and out.

The future is now.

(everyone should explore the original version first, though.  The zoom version eliminates a lot of the sense of discovery.)

yeah, just found that on their forums.  also found the below speculation:

Quote
Has it dawned on anyone that this might be Randall's last (or second last) XKCD?

It's comic 1110; and comic 1111 would be a pretty nice nerdy-number to go out on.
there are 4 images in there (quoted below) which are completely blank
the right most edge of the comic is a ref to the very first comic and the balloon floating guy seems to be looking for other adventures
and it does feel a bit like an artists Magnum Opus

Why are 11s11e, 11s11w, 11n11w and 11n11e completely blank? The S ones are black, and the N ones are white. A rudimentary steganalysis reveals nothing.
(Before anyone asks, the images exist, and it isn't just being filled in)

I've hardly ever seen Randall add blank images for no reason, and the coordinates are oddly specific.

I'm so glad she's doing better! When he did the huge, scrolling "how amazing is this world" comic, the dialogue and the bittersweetness of it made me worry that she had died.

Feynman recounted another good one upperclassmen would use on freshmen physics students: When you look at words in a mirror, how come they're reversed left to right but not top to bottom? What's special about the horizontal axis?

The local police, growing increasingly concerned about this church, ask parishioners to take a sip of wine and then spit it back out for DNA testing. It's blood, and it matches a 1970s murder victim.
