looks like it might be a fun popcorn movie, and maybe we'll get a high quality version soon as I don't feel the need to go see 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' just for a trailer. I wish they were doing another X-Men movie with Bryan Singer but I guess this will have to do.

I saw a preview for the game in the most recent EGM and that looks decent. More bloody than you would expect given the usual PG-13/Teen superhero ratings.

How many people would volunteer for that surgery to gain Wolverine's claws and skeleton? I'm thinkin' I would.

Good quality version found here.I was a bit underwhelmed - especially the cheesy throw Wolverine onto a helicopter but I will stay optimistic until it is out. "I want new ones" "What should they say" "Chickenbutt!" "err how about Wolverine?" Also good to know we have changed it so he isn't from Canada! Because they shouldn't have the coolest heroes!

From a post in the OO version of this thread, it occurred to me that Wolverine would be the best bodybuilder ever. Since building muscle is all about the damage and rebuilding of muscle fibers, he could build muscle in between sets of the same exercise. He could basically "Hulk out" muscle-wise in a day of eating and working out.

Looks cool to me, I think the helicopter sequences is taken slightly out of context in the preview. I mean, we know the military jeep some how launches Wolverine but we don't see exactly how he pulls it off. Besides, that shit happens in comics all the time!

OK, a couple of things after seeing that in better quality: Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth isn't doing it for me, and Wolverine had his claws as a kid? I thought they were cybernetic implants.

And, since his steel claws where attached to him, whats to stop someone from doing it to some kid as well?
Anyways, looks damn cool to me, especially Gambit and the staff attack...woah!
The other "Powers" in the trailer, anyone recognize them? THe ice girl, the fat man and so on?

I'm pretty sure the young kid was Logan, and looking at his wiki it looks like they revealed in one of his many origins stories that he always had the claws. the fat man is probably the Blob and the guy with the 2 swords is probably Deadpool. not sure who Ice Chick is.

they must have changed her: Powers and abilities Silver Fox's only known power is an accelerated healing factor given to her, through artificial means, by the Weapon X Program. This healing factor enables her to regenerate damaged tissue with much greater speed and efficiency than an ordinary human. Due to her healing factor, Silver Fox is much more resistant to diseases than an ordinary human. A side effect of her healing powers is a dramatically altered aging process, causing her to age much slower than an ordinary human. However, the speed and extent of her healing factor is vastly inferior to that of Wolverine and Sabretooth. I almost want to say that it looks like a young version of Emma Frost (the White Queen) using her Diamond Form power, but again they would have had to change the character a bit as she didn't develop that until later,

I'm such a geek that I started clapping like a spaz the second I saw someone with two katanas. It looks like we get to see deadpool and we also get to see wolverine beat the crap out of Gambit. This sounds like a plan. It ought to have all the artistic integrity of ET 2: The Vengeance but I doubt anyone was expecting anything else.

Every time I watch the trailer it looks better, now I'm dying of excitement for it. I'm not sure of the dude they got to play Sabertooth yet either but hey, if Heath Ledger can pull off the Joker who knows right? I think Hugh Jackman is an excellent actor and, with the exception of Australia, think he makes generally good decisions. He can tell a good script when he sees one.

Yeah there are some differences in the story between the comic and the movie. In the comics, the adamantium is forced on him. In the movie it is his choice, I believe.

it looks like Weapon XI was made up specifically for the movie. You are correct, sir. Weapon PlusNo individual with the 'Weapon XI' moniker has been seen, but John Sublime has mentioned it.
Scott Adkins has reportedly been cast as Weapon XI in the movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine It has not been revealed what sort of powers he will wield.

what Wolverine is a hoser. He probably uses his adamantium skeleton to deliver crushing hipchecks against the boards, and his mutant healing factor go and kill the moose that's bothering the Larsen's.

Full film leakedWhen a high-quality, full-length work print of X-Men Origins: Wolverine surfaced on Internet bittorrent sites last night, early speculation was that this was a doomsday scenario for Fox and the filmmakers behind the tentpole, which is not due to be released until May 1. The response today from competing producers and studio execs, however, has been more measured.

It's considered a 'workprint' (placeholder CG effects, visible wires, etc), but from what I'm reading after poking around, it's an excellent copy (it's not some camcorder taping while they're in the movie theater - it's pretty much DVD quality). People are also saying the movie itself is pretty much entirely there.
Wow. Talk about a total screw up by whoever allowed this person to handle the workprint. He or she will get tracked down and get reamed SO hard by the company...

heard about it this morning on the news....the radio talked about it as well. Apparently the stamp on the movie or any movie for that matter is unique to the person it was given to, so they know WHO let the film out.
It was also mentioned that The Hulk was leaked last year and still did really well, so I would guess this wont hurt the sales.

Yeah, one person involved said, "I don't think this will hurt it. The people who will download this movie are either people who weren't going to see it either way or are fans who are still going to see it in the theater anyways." It was actually a fairly cogent viewpoint from a studio.

So far reviews look to be rather positive. Granted, films rarely stick around the 100% mark, especially when early reviews are so overwhelmingly positive, but word on the street is that Wolverine is a more mature superhero film intended for a sophisticated audience. I'm cautiously optimistic and we have plans to catch a matinee on Saturday with a group of friends.
