No, just kidding.  Change is always hard to do, even when it's the right change.  From everything you described, this was a slam dunk right change to make.  Congrats, and don't look back!

You have made a huge mistake.

Wonderpugs disapproval is worth the personal risk.

Congrats and best of luck to both of you.

I am one who despises change.  Yet after 10+ years in environmental consulting I found myself unemployed for the first time in my life 2 1/2 years ago.  At first I thought it was a severe negative, but this August I begin pharmacy school and continue down the path of professional reinvention.

While I normally fear or fight change, sometimes it can lead to bigger and even better things.  Here's to hoping the same holds true for the both of you.   The drink that never ends.

Awesome! Today would have been my last day at my previous job, but they decided that they didn't have enough work for me and let me go without working my last 2 weeks. So today is the end of my first full week at my new job.

Good luck to both of you on Monday.  thumbsup

Lacking a printer at home, because that shit always breaks after 2 months, it seems, I printed out all my forms for the new job at my old job.  That's bad form, right?  I guess they can't really begrudge me 4 pieces of paper...

I would also like to throw in my congrats on your new job. As someone who commutes about 60 minutes each way to work, I highly recommend books on CD or audible.com. I became so addicted to them that on the days that I wasn't driving to work, I actually missed the time in the car. There are many fabulous books I would never have experienced if it wasn't for my commute, coupled with audiobook CDs.

Keep us posted on how Day 1 goes!

Tomorrow is the last day of week 2...

Never been so busy in my life, but I'm learning alot, and starting to get comfortable with it.

The commute honestly doesn't bother me one bit.  I got a couple books on tape from the library, but mostly I just listen to NPR or music.  There is great mountain biking smack dab in the middle of the commute, so I've brought my bike 4 days  so far and stopped off to ride after work.  Because I take short lunches and bail at 4:30 or so, I'm actually in the mountains on the bike faster than if I had the old job.

The job situation is way cooler... no BS, no power trips.
