After the failed American version of Coupling last season, why would NBC try to make an American version of The Office???

"Never underestimate the capacity for human stupidity" is a favorite saying of mine, and that especially goes for people in TV and film development. Ironically, the vocation I'm always trying to get into. smile

Yeah, it was on after Friends.  It was cancelled after 4 episodes.

Listen, I'll be the first to admit I have almost ZERO faith in American television being able to make anything funny.  More often than not, they simply toss in the word "booby" and try to recycle slapstick from 40 years ago (with the exception of Arrested Development, Simpsons, Malcolm in the Middle, and a few others).

But ricky gervais has actually spoken up in defense of the show in interviews.  I think that's mainly due to the american version having the genius of Steve Carell.  If anyone could pull it off, he could.

...however, if it sucks I will be the first to admit it.

NBC is flailing around trying to do anything to stop the bleeding. They admit that they may fall behind CBS, ABC and FOX in the rating war.

I want to know when Scrubs is on...they have one good show and it's never on.

Tuesdays at 9pm (it was 9:30pm until Committed came on).  I really wish they would flip Will and Grace and Scrubs around.  Put Scrubs back where it belongs...on Thursday nights!
