De Niro, but is a easy toss up. Loved them playing opposite of each other in Heat.
minute 1 or minute 1 1/2?

Last week Sky showed Godfather 1,2 and 3 in HD one after another and i have to admit to loving them all, superb films all round.
Even 3? I never made it past the cousin make-out scene. I love The Godfather series, I've read the book at least eight times, but 3 was such an abomination that I've never made it more than 45 minutes into the film. If even that far. Ugh. i thought number 3 was a fantastic film....just absolutely no where near as good as 1 and 2,and that's what it always gets put up against, pretty great end for a great trilogy

They are both great actors. I have enjoyed DeNiro's flicks more than Pacino's over the years but I'm not sure he is the better actor. Its a subjective thing.
But I rate folks like, Robert Duvall, Morgan Freeman,George Clooney, Jack Nicholson right up there with them.

Those who don't think De Niro has shown much range should watch "Awakenings"; he was great in a completely different role.
that was such a depressing movie

that was such a depressing movie There was a movie DeNiro was in with Kevin Bacon,Brad Pitt....Called, Sleepers. Basically about kids being abused in an instition then growing up to face their abuser. DeNiro played a friend of the kids and a Priest. There is a scene where one of the kids, now an adult is finally telling DeNiro about what happened to them while in detention. The camera never leaves DeNiro's face while he's being told. I have never seen such telling emotion shown on a face without using any dialogue like that. It was truley a masterpiece of acting. You don't think DeNiro has range? Watch that scene.

Ill have to go with Dustin Hoffman! Ok of the two I think DeNiro has the better range. Its really splitting hairs though as they both have iconic moments. I went with Bobby by the slimmest of margins
