Just curious how many of you are going to see Star Wars Episode 3 "Revenge of the Sith" opening night... I'm actually a bit excited about this movie now (yea, I'm surprised too).

Is the stroke of midnight considered to be night time or morning? Either way, I'm pumped like a tire *dons storm trooper helmet*.

There's about 20 of us that are going to a 9 pm show on opening day. Should be fun.

Like the other 2 prequel movies, I will wait for the DVD release. Just not interested in Lucas' new vision.
If I could have chosen a "wait for the DVD" option, I would have, but the closest option was "wait 2 months".
It would take some kind of miracle for me to appear in a theater to see episode III.

I have a 5 year old, so it's not going to happen. I'll wait 2 weeks and see it when the theater is 1/2 full.

I voted "next day" as in I'm not going to a midnight screening but will see it during its first full day of release, likely a matinee.

I'll probably see it during a matinee that weekend (if I don't have to work). As for DVD release, you won't have to wait too long...it will be out before Christmas. November 8th is the current rumored date via the industry.
To be perfectly honest I am more looking foward to Batman Begins than this movie...although I think Sith will be the best out of the 3 prequel movies.

I'll see it in the theater but I'm really not all that excited for it. I'll end up waiting a couple weeks until the theater is less crowded.
I bought the hype for Episodes I and II. I will not be fooled again.

I voted "next day" as in I'm not going to a midnight screening but will see it during its first full day of release, likely a matinee. This is my plan exactly. I figure my odds of getting a nice quiet theater crowd are ten times better in the afternoon than they are at any of the night-time showings.s. I hate the whole "theater experience", mostly because there's no way to go to the theater and watch a movie without the interference of stupid people.

I'm excited about the movie, but I don't think I can stomach the idea of wading through a sea of people to watch it. I hope to see it the week after it opens, but we shall see. As the days count down I might change my mind and risk it. I know I'll regret it, but I might just have to get it out of my system.

Got the tickets for the midnight show, as well as the next day's 7 p.m. digital screening. Digital Screening? Is that some kind of special theatre? Theatre with the movie in digital format and a DLP projector... beautiful image for films done digitally. (like ep 1-3 and pixar stuff).

Okay, you can all start booing and hissing at me - I can't for the life of me figure it out, myself - but I don't much care IF, let alone WHEN, I see it. I went nutso on the first one or two, and then didn't care that much after that. It doesn't make any sense either - I'm a big sci-fi fan, did every Star Trek movie and series, Bab 5, FarScape, etc., I read sci-fi, I play sci-fi... I love space, fantasy, warriors, fighting, splashy effects - but really could hardly care less. Was the last movie very bad and it helped ruin me? I "kind of" liked the one before that, but the latest one just bored me.
I have enough friends that will want me to go, to possibly avoid it - so please tell me if there is a reason i should get excited about this one. Due to my lack of interest, I haven't followed any of the preview discussions. :?

Obviously won't know for sure until its out but the early word from critics and those who saw it at early screenings is overwhelmingly positive. A lot of people who hated the first two prequels are really liking this one.
