Seems like there are many shows coming out on DVD - must be the latest craze. Sure is nice to pop in an episode whenever you want, but collecting very many could get expensive.

I've been wishing I could see some Miami Vice episodes for a long time now, and season one is now on DVD - whoopie! Snagged my copy on Saturday.

I know there's a certain someone on the forum who occasionally mentions wanting Emergency! on DVD  biggrin

What favorite TV show do you want to see on DVD?

The updated version of Mission: Impossible.  It was only two seasons, but I enjoyed it.

I'm still trying to catch up on the tv box sets I currently have. I want to own Angel seasons 4 and 5, the wife graciously gave me Wonderfalls for Valentine's Day, and I plan to watch 24 seasons 2 and 3 this summer along with renting Carnivale and possibly Deadwood.

My thoughts exactly.  Both really good shows.

I want the original 6-episode "Police Squad!" series on DVD.  I'm still watching the copy of the VHS tapes I made in 1983.

I also want the original Mission: Impossible series.  I didn't like the updated one.  My wife did, but she'd never seen the original.

Hell YEAH!

I have all the episodes as VCD's that I may one day dump to DVD, but that would be a set I could actually get excited about.

I'd also like a collected Pinky and the Brain, or even all the Animaniacs.  Maybe even Freakazoid.

There was also a cartoon called Hystaria (I think) that was about history, where a group of kids would spin the wheel of time and end up in, and learn about, an era or person.  I only saw it once, but it was very clever and I would like to use it in school.

Speaking of Freakazoid, now I know who the main evil character "Syndrome" reminded me of in the movie, "The Incredibles".

I'd go for Thriller w/Boris Karloff, Get Smart(box set would rule), plus a box set of all those 90 minute TV movies of the week that ABC used to have back in the 70s: Bad Ronald, Don't be Afraid of the Dark, Killdozer, Heat Wave, Satan's Triangle....oh I want that so much!

It's coming in May.

And I would like to see Disney and Nickelodeon get into the DVD game more. Waiting for shows like Talespin. Thankfully Nick is going to start releasing Pete & Pete soon.

I agree that CN should release the rest of the series soon.  Maybe it will come out when Clone Wars comes out on DVD.

Daehawk,

you're not going to believe this - i ran a search on "Tales of the Gold Monkey" because i couldn't remember if that was the title of one of my favorite shows ever - all i remembered was something about a "gold monkey"... well....

http://www.goldmonkey.com/

and here's another vote for "Tales of the Gold Monkey", a short-lived, but great, series.

Cupid!!!  Best show no one ever watched... Thank you Torrent for filling in my collection of that...

And maybe the Pretender, and a couple of the shortlived hour-long dramas that used to air after it.  there was a show that lasted less than a season called 'The Others' (before the Nicole Kidman movie), that had some seriously freaky episodes, and a pretty good cast.  anyone else remember it?  About a group of people with psychic powers, meeting on a college campus.  Had Bill Cobbs, Kevin J. O'Connor (from every Stephen Sommers movie ever released), and John Billingsley.

That was a damn good show, great casting.  But there's no way I could buy the dvds of a show with that title. The last thing I need is some teenage clerk looking at me oO as I buy 'Cupid'.

By the way, I think this is why the show didn't last. How could you tell your friends "Hey, there's this new show, really good, you should check out.", "Oh yeah? What's it called?", "Uh, nevermind."
