There are currently 190 movies in my queue, rather a long (and odd) list... and we just had a new baby. Does that mean we watch more movies or less now? As far as what is in my queue... uhhh... a lot of crap.

Netflix says I have rated 2118 movies.. I guess there isn't much left.

Quote

 190 movies

Movie Title   Star Rating  MPAA Genre Shipped Est. Arrival

 1 The Producers
 PG-13 Comedy 05/24/06   05/25/06

 2 The Devil's Rejects

 3 The Scorned: Disc 1
 NR Horror 05/09/06   05/12/06

 4 Memoirs of a Geisha
 PG-13 Drama 04/26/06   04/27/06

Priority Movie Title   Star Rating MPAA  Genre  Availability Remove Move to Top

   Underworld: Evolution
R Action & Adventure  Releases on DVD Jun 06, 2006

 R Thrillers  Now

   Good Night, and Good Luck
 PG Drama  Now

The first 4 are the ones I have at home now. The next 5 are the top of the 190 I have queued.

I like to use my parents netflix without telling them.  They are always a little confused when some movie they didnt put on their queue shows up.  Currently I put the Godfather and the Boondock Saints on the list.  Since someone else mentioned Hoodwinked I need to remember to add that.

The Boondock Saints is a great movie.

Mine has the remainder of Season One of La Femme Nikita, Season Three of Angel and Jumangi for the kids.  That's pretty much it for right now.  Even when we had more on this queue it never exceeded 25-30.

Right now I have Season 1 of Deadwood and Season's 1 & 2 of Rescue Me.  Anyone watch them?  I've heard good things about both.

Also, we should just add each other to the Friends list so we can always see..  Just a thought.

Just got done with Deadwood : The Complete Second Season (via a local rental shop) and can say I've thoroughly enjoyed the series thus far.  Though I do have a tendency to say "fuck" and "cocksucker" for weeks after I watch 'em...

The likewise enjoyed and would recommend the first season of Rescue Me.  The second season is either in my Netflix queue, or will be shortly.

Goddammit Nate! I see your Crusades on the list and think, "Hey I need to add that." I then wind up adding several more history channel docs to the list when I didn't need to. Thanks man!

I've had it at home for a few weeks now.  Just haven't gotten around to it.  The current plan is to watch Kingdom of Heaven: Director's Cut, use it to get fired up about painting my Crusaders, and have Crescent and the Cross running in the background while I paint.

However, with the wife home and easily bored, my ability to spend an entire  day doing whatever the hell I want just took a nose-dive.

I've got about 220 DVDs in my queue, about half of which are TV series.  I finished off all 5 seasons of Sopranos recently, so now I'm just concentrating on Buffy/Angel.  I'll have Buffy S4 and Angel S1 finished in a few days.  Once I've finished the entirety of those series, I might actually start watching movies.   :?

Deadwood is great but be warned that HBO has effectively cancelled the series after Season 3 so. since the decision was made after the season wrapped, there really won't be any closure to the series.

I never look at my Netflix queue, I like to be surprised when I get the emails telling me what's coming smile  I have just over 100 titles in my queue, and I mostly use it for wacky independent films or documentaries.  Right now at home I have a documentary about the Khmer Rouge and an anime called Tokyo Godfathers that I know pretty much nothing about.  I know I have Advent Children coming soon because I bumped that up my queue but other than that, no idea.

I mainly do Netflix to rent TV seasons. Here's my current queue:

   NCIS: Season 1: Disc 1
   NCIS: Season 1: Disc 2
   NCIS: Season 1: Disc 3
   NCIS: Season 1: Disc 4
   NCIS: Season 1: Disc 5
   NCIS: Season 1: Disc 6

I plan on quitting Netflix for a while once the girlfriend and I watch this series. I'll re-up with them again around October when most of last season's TV shows that I missed (House, Veronica Mars, 24) have been released.

Thought I'd give this a bumpity bump :

Somehow I've obtained 175 movies in my queue  saywhat, although probably 1/4 of that are television series.

At home :

Bones : Season 1 : Disc 1
Clerks 2
Superman Returns

In the queue :

  • Beerfest
  • See No Evil
  • Cars
  • Unleashed
  • Down in the Valley
  • Transamerica
  • Kicking and Screaming (Criterion not the Will Farrell stinker)
  • Fun With Dick and Jane
  • Good Night and Good Luck
  • Stay

Looking back, the bottom few on my queue are in the same position as six months ago.  They keep getting bumped down.  icon_lol

I tend to reorder my queue based on what I feel like so going too far on it is meaningless, but my next five are...

Bad Santa
V for Vendetta
Hotel Rwanda
City of God
Eddie Izzard: Glorious

I know there are a lot of movies I wanted to see that I forgot along the way that have not yet made it into my queue -- only rated about 1100 so far (the fact I've seen that many is sort of scary).

heh, I routinely had to wait for titles to ship to me so I could add them to my queue as I almost always had it maxed at 500 (I'd add stuff in and occasionally re-organize the list depending on what I felt like getting) and at least 2000 movies rated.  I cancelled Netflix recently though as they started throttling my movies (I call BS that the post office is so slow that they deliver exactly 2 movies at a time, even when I sent 6 back).

Well, my BLOCKBUSTER queue is almost pathetically empty.. (note, you should really change the subject to read "Blockbuster or Netflix queue" hehe.  I am sure a boatload of people have BB accounts here.

Total-Access has allowed me to clear 30ish titles from my queue in a matter of a month.. Now I am down to 5-6 titles, and thinking about what I should do next.

At one point I had 100-150 in there, but I deleted them all because I realized they were shit I really didn't want to waste my life watching.
