Well, I've been listening to quite a bit, but here are my most recent purchases: The Black Keys: Attack And Release: Clutch: From Beale Street to Oblivion: The Raconteurs: Consolers of the Lonely: Eels: Live and In Person (London 2006): Other than those, I've been listenting to: The Black Angels, Black Mountain, M. Ward (I really like the Post-War album), more Eels (just saw the new concert, and it ruled as always), Kid Dakota and lots of other stuff.

I've been listening to 10,000 Days by Tool at least a couple of times a week ever since it was released. Big Tool fan. Lately I've mainly been streaming from smoothlounge.com and somafm.com without paying any particular attention to specific artists, but I've just discovered The Future Sound of London. Their remix album, Teachings from the Electronic Brain, is absolutely stunning. There's a song on it called My Kingdom which is quite reminiscent of Coil, and since Coil are unlikely to ever release another album I was very pleased!

At this particular moment I'm wondering if I'm going to reach a point (soon) in life where I can essentially listen to anything. It feels close already.
Latest playlist:
Nine Inch Nails - Ghosts I - IV Iron Maiden - Best of the Beast Killswitch Engage - As Daylight Dies A Fine Frenzy - One Cell In The Sea Natasha Bedingfield - Pocketful of Sunshine The Rolling Stones - Beggars Banquet Sean Watkins - Let It Fall Explosions in the Sky - All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone
And I just bought discs from Chris Thile and Norah Jones.
I have no taste.

Nine Inch Nails' Year Zero has not left my system since I bought it a couple months back. I was 'meh' on the initial listen, but it has grown on me like few albums have: The Ghosts I-IV album is in pretty steady rotation as well: Cradle of Filth's Thornography has been my main workout music: And chill-out music duties have been split mainly between Postal Service's Give Up: Bauhaus' The Sky's Gone Out: And the Final Fantasy XII Original Soundtrack: And for some strange reason, I've been spinning the hell out of this one as well. Not sure why...

And On the Radio you'll hear November Rain That solo's awfully long, but it's a good refrain You'll listen to it twice, because the DJ is asleep On the radio...

Cradle of Filth's Thornography has been my main workout music:
Bloody hell, are they still cranking them out? I used to love CoF, back in the day. I thought the quality of their albums took a nosedive after their masterpiece Cruelty and the Beast though, and stopped listening.

Lots of Oasis. The Enchanted soundtrack (thanks kids! ). Hey TSCOTT: new Juliana early June. If you haven't already, she has a nice new track at Myspace. New Aimee in early June, too. Same goes for her with the new track, and it's frickin' great!

You and female pop albums, Tscott? Who would of known I believe I've steered you towards a few before, so check out Ennis. They're a band from Canada, who have been known as the Ennis Sisters and recently moved to Nashville and switched their market to an American one after having a lack of success in Canada. They're quite pleasing to the eyes. http://www.ennismusic.com/ On the other hand, knowing you, you've probably already heard of them.

You and female pop albums, Tscott? Who would of known Yeah, ain't it great? I love female pop albums and Tscot never fails to dig up a few that I've never heard about. I'll have to check out the Primitives disc. I've got Pure and the Best of but hopefully there's more material there that I've not heard. I  Tracey Tracey. Right now I'm mostly listening to the new R.E.M. disc as well as a surprising amount of Poi Dog Pondering.

If you don't have Lovely, I'd probably suggest that over Buzz, Buzz, Buzz. It's my favorite album of theirs and the one with their biggest hit, Crash. Buzz, Buzz, Buzz is a two-disc compilation mostly of alternate takes and live versions of their songs. It's nice, but not essential. As for Ennis, Rumpy, I hadn't heard of them before. They've got an alright sound and look, but are maybe a little too mainstream country. They'll fit in in Nashville. IMO, they don't hold a candle to my other recent Canadian discovery, Dala (in sound and looks ). Sorry.

Nothing. I never listen to music. Only catch a song if I happen to be in a business and it is playing in the background or if it is in a movie. Like it, just don't need it in any way shape or form.

I will have to admit, a lot of what I listen to is now shaped by Sirius Radio's Left of Center. It's my main station after ESPN Radio when I am in the car, followed by their Alt Nation station. Specific Bands: Editors: I love the lead singer's voice. I first heard "Smokers outside the Hospital Doors" and was pretty much blown away. I think I may be better suited to live in England as I tend to love British Indie/Alt rock. Vampire Weekend: I know they've become pop darlings lately, but they were on Left of Center way back at the end of 2006 into 2007, and I like their sound a lot. Spoon: Started when I heard their song "The Underdog". I really like the vocals, lyrics are different, and their sound is fresh from song to song. What Made Milwaukee Famous: Just recently came into my listening group. Really dug their song "Sulatn" and checked out their website, and I have them on the buy list. A couple of bands include The Kooks, Nada Surf, Shout out Louds, Against Me!, TDMB (going to see him in concert in August!), Arcade Fire, Interpol, and Guster among others. Over the past couple of years I've found myself turning more and more to indie rock, independent label stuff etc. Of course, a lot of these good bands end up getting bigger exposure, which is a good thing in my book.

I've been listening to a lot of British Sea Power lately. Just saw them last Sunday night and they were awesome. Their new album "Do You Like Rock Music?" is their best, I believe.
Also been listening to the new Goldfrapp - "Seventh Tree"

Hot damn, that's a nice find, Tscott. They sound great to my ears Yeah, I agree with you, I guess. Might be the reason Ennis had trouble in Canada, which is kind of ironic. When your market doesn't suit you, go looking for another market.

But I've been listening almost non-stop for the last month or so to Pink by Boris. They're an awesome Japanese sludge/metal band. You can listen to some of their stuff here: http://www.last.fm/music/Boris/Pink I'd particularly recommend Farewell and the title track.

I tend to ignore most of the indie recommendations in these threads, as they're typically not my thing. After checking out the song samples on that page, I ordered this one from Amazon last night.

Vampire Weekend: I know they've become pop darlings lately, but they were on Left of Center way back at the end of 2006 into 2007, and I like their sound a lot. I tend to ignore most of the indie recommendations in these threads, as they're typically not my thing. After checking out the song samples on that page, I ordered this one from Amazon last night. Saw them on SNL. FF'd that mofo. Did Not Get. Gnarls Barkley last week, though? Hook a bro up! That first song was HOT.
