I've been listening to 10,000 Days by Tool at least a couple of times a week ever since it was released.  Big Tool fan.

Lately I've mainly been streaming from smoothlounge.com and somafm.com without paying any particular attention to specific artists, but I've just discovered The Future Sound of London.  Their remix album, Teachings from the Electronic Brain, is absolutely stunning.  There's a song on it called My Kingdom which is quite reminiscent of Coil, and since Coil are unlikely to ever release another album I was very pleased!

I think Thornography is really good, but CoF has always been a guilty pleasure of mine.   Mine is probably not the most objective opinion.

I believe I've steered you towards a few before, so check out Ennis. They're a band from Canada,  who have been known as the Ennis Sisters and recently moved to  Nashville and switched their market to an American one after having a lack of success in Canada. They're quite pleasing to the eyes.

If you don't have Lovely, I'd probably suggest that over Buzz, Buzz, Buzz.  It's my favorite album of theirs and the one with their biggest hit, Crash.  Buzz, Buzz, Buzz is a two-disc compilation mostly of alternate takes and live versions of their songs.  It's nice, but not essential.

As for Ennis, Rumpy, I hadn't heard of them before.  They've got an alright sound and look, but are maybe a little too mainstream country.  They'll fit in in Nashville.

IMO, they don't hold a candle to my other recent Canadian discovery, Dala (in sound and looks ).  Sorry.

I will have to admit, a lot of what I listen to is now shaped by Sirius Radio's Left of Center. It's my main station after ESPN Radio when I am in the car, followed by their Alt Nation station.

Specific Bands:

Editors: I love the lead singer's voice. I first heard "Smokers outside the Hospital Doors" and was pretty much blown away. I think I may be better suited to live in England as I tend to love British Indie/Alt rock.

Vampire Weekend: I know they've become pop darlings lately, but they were on Left of Center way back at the end of 2006 into 2007, and I like their sound a lot.

Spoon: Started when I heard their song "The Underdog". I really like the vocals, lyrics are different, and their sound is fresh from song to song.

What Made Milwaukee Famous: Just recently came into my listening group. Really dug their song "Sulatn" and checked out their website, and I have them on the buy list.

A couple of bands include The Kooks, Nada Surf, Shout out Louds, Against Me!, TDMB (going to see him in concert in August!), Arcade Fire, Interpol, and Guster among others.

Over the past couple of years I've found myself turning more and more to indie rock, independent label stuff etc. Of course, a lot of these good bands end up getting bigger exposure, which is a good thing in my book.

I've been listening to a lot of British Sea Power lately.  Just saw them last Sunday night and they were awesome.  Their new album "Do You Like Rock Music?" is their best, I believe.
