I can only imagine how well this will go over.  They are also blaming the VT shooting on gays too.  I hope there are a lot of cops around that day.

Sadly, this.  Ignoring these assholes is the only way to ultimately make them go away.

A student group in Chicago did a great thing when WBC came to town a couple weeks ago.  They set up a fundraiser right across from their protest, and when people donated, it was sent directly to some of the groups WBC vehemently opposes (i.e. AIDS research, gay rights organizations, etc.).  The kicker?  All the donations were made in WBC's name.  I thought that was pretty awesome.

I've had the "privilege" of attending a conference where Phelps' brood was on one side of the road, and some militant pro-homosexual groups on the other, each trying to shout the other group down. Walking through that each day was a treat - both sides were pretty vile.

Well, here at least, there was no hate coming from one side. Only an invitation to discussion, that obviously was met with hate. Also had groups taking donations to fund groups the WBC go against.
