Anyone else get annoyed by websites, specifically gaming websites, that demand all sorts of personal information? You do NOT need to know my birthday. And if you do, maybe you need to know the year I was born but not all of it. Anyone else make up birthdays for these places? I told the last place I was born in 1901. They told me that no one over 70 was allowed to register on their website. I guess my dad is out, then.  What if I really was that old? Anyway, why do they need to know all this stuff? |

Does it bother you that through the wonders of Google Analytics I can track your location, time spent on a website, Operating system, browser, and screen resolution?
I have to check the stats for about 10 different sites for my company daily and it always amuses me.

When sites require this stuff, and I don't think it's pertinent to my viewing the site, I always make stuff up. I'm generally born on Jan 1st, 1901 (or whatever year is first in the list), my Name is Fred Ziffel, my company is Green Acres Farming Supply, and I'll choose "other" on any question where that's available.
