While looking for that Ernest Borgnine Treasure Island thing,i stumbled upon this(just over a month old)

Guy Ritchie is to direct a new version of Treasure Island

Guy Ritchie‘s next movie is expected to be The Man from UNCLE and, if we can believe Robert Downey Jr., writing is already well underway on a third Sherlock Holmes picture. All the same, Ritchie has just piled on another scoop with plans to make a new film of Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island

I just watched the old Disney version a few months ago,and was quite surprised with the ending(as i could not remember the book that much),but it could be quite interesting if they stick to that end


The only thing that i think may be sticking is that Audiences may be still full after the Pirates of the Caribbean movies,but still,the story is solid and the locations could be grand

The thing that caught my attention is that Guy Ritchie is working on a version of The Man from Uncle.  I think Ritchie is a great choice for that particular project.

Get a great Illya Kuryakin and I'll go.  That character was my childhood hero.  I watched reruns of the show in the 70's and he always struck me as one cool cat.
