Anybody looking forward to this movie? I first heard of it the other day on a podcast and have since watched the trailers and an interview with the director/artist.
It's directed by that guy who did Night Watch, so it oozes with style (with an overapplication of CGI).

Looks cool to me, but it's a tale that seems to have been told quite often (nerdy, downtrodden guy gains super powers/skills and discovers a world that lurks under his own).

Won't be released for a month, but this movie really caught me by surprise. I might go out and pick up the graphic novel, though they say the movie follows it quite closely.

For a moment, I thought your post was going to be 'Dead or Alive!'  biggrin

I saw the trailer for this and I'm mildly interested.  I'll probably wait for DVD though.

I thought it was going to be about the halfway-decent TV series.

Potential to suck is high.  However, the cast gives me hope.

Wasn't interested until I found out it was from the guy who did Night Watch and Day Watch.  Truth be told I'd rather get a third film in that series but I guess that's being worked on now too.

I've heard the ending to the graphic novel sucks royal ass so hopefully it's better in the movie.

We should make a pool. I'm guessing this will have a 30-35% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

This is based off a comic, and the comic looks better.  However, it also has a lot more controversial setting and characters.

I think it looks like a fun style-over-substance, check-your-brain-at-the-door kind of film. Perfect for a summer movie and/or Netflixing. Count me in for this one.
