I use a plain desktop, and I'd like some wallpaper ideas.
Let's see some screens, and if you can link to the original image, so other people can use it, great.

It's actually a photo I took of a sunrise from my front sidewalk one morning last week.

I've had this as my desktop for so long, I can't exactly remember where I got it from. Every once in awhile I think I'm going to change, but I can never find anything I like better. In any case, I know I got it from some fractal image gallery - I've found loads of images from those types of galleries that would make excellent desktops.

That is the cartoon image of Django Reinhardt from The Triplets of Belleville. Django was a famous jazz guitarist from turn-of-the-last-century Paris who, incredibly, learned to play guitar with only two good fingers on his left hand. If you hear any of his recordings, you will be amazed at what he was able to do. I think there might be some Django in the Mafia soundtrack (it's been a while since I played it.) So, there you go.

Indeed there is. Thanks for the explanation. I have obviously heard of him and heard his music, but I had no idea he only had two fingers on one hand! (looking back, my comment seems pretty rude now  )

(looking back, my comment seems pretty rude now ) Is ok. I'm sure Django wasn't offended.
