I can't imagine living in a swing state, getting harrassed day and night.  Thank god I live in NY.  All we see is the occasional TV add.  I've had no phone calls so far.

Try living in Massachusetts.  The republicans don't even bother trying up here.  It also makes me feel better about not voting, because no matter who I vote for, the state's going to carry Kerry anyway.  I'm pretty sure there's a clause in the Constitution that says MA has to carry democrat.

Come on, Chaz get out there!!! I went this morning in lovely Billerica and colored in my circle for "W"!! I look at it this way: I see it as my way of personally insulting Kerry by being in Mass and hating him. I want him to see my vote as a big  finger

Get out there Dems, Republicans, everyone!!

Up until last night, political commercials were few and far between.  I guess because MD is not a swing state.  But last night there was a slew of them, like a oversized zit that got popped and the juice was just spewing out of it.

Heh.  I'm a liberal living in Utah, so it's the exact opposite.  My presidential vote doesn't make a lick of difference, but I can at least try to make a difference in some of the local races and issues.

I live in Illinois, so I've seen maybe a total of 5 presidential ads all campaign. Most of the ones I've seen are for the House of Representatives race where 30+-year veteran Phil Crane may get ousted. Between him and his opponent, Melissa Bean, I've gotten at least two political flyers a day, and I'm glad to see the last of them.

Yeah, I kinda see W's whole tenure in office as a big finger, so you couldn't pay me enough to vote for him.  However, I don't see Kerry as being all that hot either, and I'd only be voting for him on the "anyone but Bush" ticket, which I don't feel right about.  I don't follow local politics, so I don't feel able to make an informed decision about any of the other ballot questions, and I think that making an uninformed decision just so I can say "I voted!" is worse than realizing that I'm uninformed and abstaining.

Also, the best way to avoid political ads: Tivo and a cell phone.

What a deliciously apt metaphor.

Thats no excuse!  Honestly get there and vote at least for your local elections.  Those usually have more impact on your quality of life than the national ones anyway.

In a post that features the words zit, popped, juice, spewing and vomit, the word deliciously does not belong.

I voted. There was actually some interesting statewide stuff to vote on. I voted for prop 70, which would expand casinos on tribal land. Against the DNA prop, which would allow collection of samples from people caught in the criminal justice system, and for our stem cell proposition. Oh yeah, and for revamping the 3 strikes law.

It's gonna be like watching a football game tonight, watching all the scores come in.
