The stupid, assinine, idiotic Jeep Liberty commercial where the woman is doing a "self-portrait" and paints her f'ing car.  And the "teacher" is wandering around spouting some uber-pretentious horseshit.  In explicably, this steaming pile of excrement has been shown often during football games and the like.

I feel like throwing a brick through the damn TV every time it comes on.

Heh.  I think it was an art class and the teacher was getting her students to find/release their inner selves.  Guess what?  I think the commercial is more accurate than we like to think...

Yeah, I want to throw a brick through my TV too when I see that commercial or a car commercial with a 60's soundtrack.  Then again, I don't want to damage my HDTV.  (Isn't there some kind of Alanis Morresette song which describes this? )

I always hated the one where there are several girls in bikinis and one turns to the other and says something like, you're wearing a bikini during your period? Seriously, that commerical should be banned.

Any Mazda commercial is pretty shitty, but their most recent one drives me fucking insane.  As if "zoom, zoom" wasn't bad enough, they added the fantastic annoyance of making it sound like a cell phone ring.  Christ almighty, worst idea ever.

Then they go and play the stupid thing IN FRONT OF MOVIES AT THE MOVIE THEATRE.

I will never buy a Mazda due to this damn commercial.

My broad category of commercials that I hate are those that try to be fun and fail so completely badly that you can't believe they even tried. What was the point of that? Don't they have someone reviewing these commercials before airing them? What's the point of using humor to sell, say, french fries? Just show me a picture of those tasty french fries, some happy people eating them, and some blurb about how they're better than everyone elses fries because someone said so. Don't try and fail to be funny. That just pisses people off.

Heh, that happens to be one of my favorite commercials, too.  Tongue

As for my most hated, that would probably be the new Barbi "Fashion" ads. The "Where'd you get that?" line is incredibly annoying, especially because it's actually kinda catchy.  [/i]

I really REALLY hate the Geico commercials. "By the way, I just saved a ton of money on car insurance". Bleh.

I don't know if Gebco is a nationwide company or not so everyone might not know these commercials. I know they run here in the DC area and they make me nuts. They have a bunch of women dancing around Baltimore Ravens lineman Jonothan Odgen. "Go Gebco Go Gebco Go Gebco".   :x

I love that Six Flags commercial. Mr. Six kicks ass.

I hate the Burger King where the guy wakes up in bed with the king puppet. If I ever wake up next to a strange man offering me breakfast, I'd run screaming out of the room, not sit there and eat.

I am so sick to death of the political ads.  What is it 19 days to freedom?  I'm not trying to bend the political rule here at all but am just tired tired tired of hearing I am Joe Blow and I approve this message.

I would rather watch the Burgar King guy in bed (really creepy) one over and over instead of the vote for me or this guy/girl voted against this or that crap.

I still find that BK, "Wake up with the King" hillarious.  I always stop what I am doing on the PC to watch it.  It is so disturbing yet so funny.  They touch hands and just kinda move apart really fast... Dunno' it's a contender for my favorite commerical evah!

I also like the BK one where the IT guy (Tongue) is sniffing the female co-worker's wrapper.  biggrin

Oh wait... this is supposed to be worst commercials.

I hate the new McDonald's line of ads. First, their attempt to "urbanize" their image and appeal to black people while still making crappy ads irritates me.

More importantly though, those Chicken Selects ads make me want to scream. That stupid fucktard yelling about chicken strips by the copying machine pisses me off. I'd just slam his head in that thing and then eat his damn chicken. Then I'd slam his head some more.

My wife and I both enjoy watching sports on tv with our kids (8 and 7). Football in particular (college and pro) and other things as well. My son also likes to watch Nascar races.

Some of the commercials my kids get exposed to watching sports are just awful. I remember when watching sports on a sunday afternoon was a relatively wholesome activity...now it seems like commercials for viagra and cialis are the least of the problems. Actually, the worst thing may be the fact that ESPN and FOX do so much advertising for their adult dramas during family viewing hours....over and over and over again.

It makes it tough to enjoy sports as a family.

Any drug commercial at all.

"Warning, drug x may cause sneezing, coughing, heart problems, increased shitting, and chance of death."

*watches some happy people dancing around in the field*

Stupid FDA for lifting that ban last year. Just think of how much money the drug companies are spending for advertisements instead of passing the drug savings onto YOU, the consumer.

My current hate list includes any ads with those two Sonic morons... the TV ads are bad, but the radio ones are even worse.

Hah - the worst one is the herpes drug (Valtrex?) - I can just hear the inner monologue:

Girl - "What a chump - he'll never know I have herpes until it's too late!"

I totally agree about prescription medicine ads. They should be banned again.

I feel bad for doctors who are berated by patients who come in saying "My television thinks I need a prescription for sudoberablax."

The least they could do is prominently tell us what, in particular, the drug is supposed to treat so I don't suddenly worry that I'm not getting enough of some drug with a catchy tune... even though it's for kidney failure and my kidneys are fine.

I absolutely HATE those drug commercials, but try to remember they're not targeting you, they're targeting your Parents! (except maybe dbt1949, they're probably talking to him smile )

I don't know what any of that crap is supposed to do, but you can bet if your parents are getting up there in age they sure do!

Valtrex is absolutely my most hated of commercials.  "I used to be a dirty skank but now I can trick my BF into catching my diseases too!"

Is that the herpes commercial with the jingle? My friends and changed the lyrics to "Living my life! With herpes on my crotch!"

I swear, I thought that advertising hit its nadir with "Mom, do you ever get taht.... not so fresh feeling?"

Well let's start with the obvious - any commercials you see at the theater before the trailers. There's that STUPID GAY GAY GAY Bod body fragrances commercials. "I want your bod..." UGHHHH. Then there's that hell-spawned Fanta commercial. And that stupid Levi's commercial where the guy "lassos" the car. I saw that commercial like 20 times before I ever realized what product it was advertising. Actually, I'm still not sure if it's Levi's.

Tampon commercials should be banned. Especially that one about "I had to tie my sweater around my waist so my friends couldn't see THE FREAKING BLOODY MASS OF MENSTRUAL FLUID LEAKING FROM MY CROTCH." AGGGHHHHHH!

And I don't want to see ANY reasonably attractive woman talking about diarrhea. Show some fat old cow in her 60's talking about it, not some young blonde early 20's supermodel. I stubbornly refuse to believe that models get diarrhea, or that they even do "#2" at all.

I love Coke but I generally hate Coke commercials. The two exceptions are the surfer girl one where she pops the cap using the guy's belt buckle, and the one where the chick is singing as she walks down the street handing out Cokes. I like the former because the chick is hot, and the latter because it seems to have been done in one long take which I thought was pretty impressive (I'm a sucker for long continuous takes).

I'm not lovin' it, McDonald's sorry, and your Chicken Selects are CRAP!

Fortunately I rarely see commercials anymore since I got the DVR. Thank you modern technology!

I hate the freakin Ortho-Evra patch commercial.

"You know what they say. Its birth control that is on your body, and off your mind."

"Yup, now you don't have to think twice about being a whore."

Besides WHO says that exactly? I don't recall ever hearing it before.

Have you guys seen that one of the latest things is OTC supplements that are sold and marketed like prescription drugs? They give them fancy names, make 'em a nifty color, put them in a cute pill case and sell them for a fortune, yet they aren't drugs at all.

While I'm not that fond of most of their commercials they have made one of my favorites:  Hot chick, mechanical bull, messy burger, "Slow Riiiiide"...

Seen it. Hated it.

In addition, I absolutely hate Opera (the person, not the browser) now.

Ever since she 'advertised' some OTC drug of some sort (of which I have NO idea what the hell it's supposed to do), I've had customer after customer come into my pharmacy looking for it.

The customer tells me some funky name I've never heard of, I promptly ask if she saw it on Opera. They say yes, I tell them to go away.

Some days, I really hate being a pharmacy tech at a grocery chain...
