I'm looking to buy a treadmill and am currently deciding between couple different ones.

Life Fitness T3-5
Landice L7 LTD Pro Sports

They both are getting excellent reviews. I like the console and accessory rack on the Landice better but the Life Fitness $400 cheaper though it looks like shipping is covered for the Landice but not the Fitness so it may be only 200 cheaper.
Unfortunately neither have any local dealers I can go to to try either out.

They seem pretty similar spec-wise with the T3 getting a 1Mph extra over the Landice.  The Landice has that emergency stop magnet thing too, if that matters.
Maybe find out which one has a better warranty in case of a breakdown.
Either one is probably good, but personally I like the Landice a little more.

The life fitness looks more heavy duty.

Buy the most expensive one  (read: quality) you can afford.  A treadmill has to take a lot of punishment.

Don't get wooed by too many doohickeys and doo dads.  Durability is the key.

I have an L7 Executive and have been very happy with it.  The Executive display/computer was a promotional bonus when I got it about 2 years ago.  I bought this one after trying out several in the store.  I spent more than I had planned but the warrantee was the clincher.

Good luck.
