That's some serious thread-necro!

Happy Veteran's Day to all who served.  While I never did, my dad was a Korean War vet and I had several uncles who served in WWII.

I figured your words were just as good (and easier) than anything I could come up with to start a thread.  smile

Not quite the same thing but a couple of months after I got out of the army I got a visit from an army buddy of mine that I thought was dead. Very strange.

It's past midnight on the East Coast.  I wanted to again thank those who serve, have served, and especially those who gave all to protect freedom.

So again I take a moment of silence to show my respect to all of those in uniform, past and present.

Thank you to all the vets who served, and especially to those that gave their lives in protecting the freedoms we enjoy, and often take for granted.

Yes, and happy Remembrance Day from Canada. Here in Manitoba it's a legislated holiday (aka if it's during the week, it's required to be off for all but entertainment and critical services).

11am service on CBC was really good this year.
