I spent more time trying to figure out how 'on the picture' is any way close to being grammatically correct.

For the most part, the first is the best and Meta Critics is way harsher than IMDB though the trends are quite similar.

I agree much more with the critics than the fans on almost all of those. Especially as time has gone by, Return of the Jedi was a solid 100 when I was 13, not so much now.

Only since Episode I was released have I noticed more backlash against ROTJ because of the Ewoks,I had never really noticed it before, probably because i was a kid and was wrapped up in it all anyway - the Droids and Ewoks cartoons were always on on my TV as a kid...but since Episode I was released,I have noticed people start to question the whole Ewoks Vs Stormtrooper thing in Jedi, rather than the love i thought it had when it was released

I loved Return of the Jedi to pieces and still do,and the film has the greatest opening half hour of any film i can think off...screw the haters Tongue (until George put an MTV music video slap bang in the middle of that half hour anyway disgust)

It also has, for my money, the best light saber duel with Luke going medieval on Vader's ass...er, hand.

I could see docking Godfather II a point for being a sequel, but it was frakking phenomenal, and I'd put the ending of that film, with Fredo getting whacked, up against the baptism montage in the first one for greatness.

Yeah, you might be right on that. I always took it to be as a result of the generation that saw it as kids getting older and having seen it so many times by this point that we can see the flaws easier now. RofJ was never my favorite (unless you would have asked me in 1983/4), that will always be ESB. All three make me laugh today, but I still love them.

Re: Godfather II, the critics do seem a bit harsh on that one, still doesn't have the flavor of 1 for me though.
