Kato, you can come out.

Thankfully they're daddy long legs. Not spiders at all.

It might comfort you to know they're sometimes called harvestmen. As in, they harvest. Men.

I hate those things. My previous apartment was crawling with them. I'd kill at least 6 of them every day from spring to fall. The worst was the one that climbed on top of my glass of water while I was watching a movie. I didn't notice until it was halfway inside my mouth.

Seriously, none of you guys read reddit? 99% of what is in this thread shows up there about a week earlier. Someone explained what happened in the thread there. Anyway, if you like this thread, stuff like /r/funny or /r/pics are a goldmine of entertainment.

Two cars stopped in the middle of the freeway in Russia because of an accident. They didn't pull to the side, obviously, like you are supposed to. As the two drivers are discussing insurance or whatever, car smashes one guy (or he avoided it by jumping in the back of the open hatch). Other driver stepped out of the way into the other car. He just had a broken leg as said already.

Why would I sift through that quagmire of everyone throwing everything up, when I can just have it filtered here by people I like to pretend I know?

Also, I can only take about one of those clips like the car accident (maybe less).

And very easily avoidable.

Fair enough, I am not pushing the site by any means, since the comments often make you feel like it's mostly college aged kids. I am just surprised people here don't seem to read it.

The curated sets of pictures I see here and on the OO thread are plenty for my silly internet picture needs, so I've never really felt driven to seek more out.  Plus, I stumbled on some pretty disturbing stuff using that livejournal pic searcher this thread started with, so I like having a layer of GT/OO filtering between me and the wild wild internet.

Kinda sad to think that if CeeKay's exodus is permanent, three of the top 10 posters at GT are gone (CK, Calvin, and Kevin Grey).
