perhaps because the teacups and the teapot never come back down to earth? That's just the icing on the cake. Also, it reminds me of Return of the Killer Tomatoes (starring George Clooney). It's a not-nearly-as-bad-as-you-think-but-not-exactly-good movie from the 80s. There was a moment at the beginning of the film where someone throws some pizza dough in the air. The scene goes on, then the rest of the movie. Finally, at the end, someone says, "Well, that wraps up everything." And the other actor says, "Not quite everything." And then the pizza dough falls. I couldn't find a clip of that online, but I did find this other memorable scene about product placement. Also, there are cowboys, ninjas and Quaddaffi in a bar fight. Also, just to point out, this was 4 years before Wayne's World. I'll take the Hark point hit. |

As a standalone, yes but I do think the gif cuts out the best part which is the hand rising from the dust. But the commercial has the bit with the smokestacks falling one after the other with each reaching out to try to catch the previous one and the final stack just giving up and saluting as it goes down. Also, the commercial seems a bit counterproductive as it actually generates sympathy for the anthropomorphic cooling towers and stacks. |
