Ummm Doctors write this all the time. Why? I have no damn idea. But more often than not, when I see a script for something you stick where the sun don't shine, they have the 'per' part clearly written as if people have more than one.

It's a written out abbreviation: PR (per Rectum). When a doc writes a prescription to be taken in a more traditional means, he'll write something like: T1 tablet PO PRN QHS...take one tablet by mouth (or per os, which is Latin) as necessary (PRN) at bedtime (QHS).

This gives me an entirely different outlook on PR_GMR's user name.

but codes were much more prevalent back in the bluejay days, now thanks to acheevos and trophies they usually aren't there.

Remember when Nintendo had an 800 number that would connect you for free to 'game counselors'?
I used to call about the Legend of Zelda, though there was really only one thing I would have never figured out....that one forest where you had to go up down left right up back or whatever that combo was.
However, I'm pretty sure most will agree, that our gaming time is now so limited we don't want to be stuck passed the point of fun. I still give it the ole college try, but when I hit the point that a game has become torment, I'm hitting the net for advice.

Hell, when I hit the torment point, I'm hitting the store for a new game. I don't have the tolerance for "old school difficulty" anymore. At least, not in the true sense. There are challenging games I like, but even they don't have the "die and start at the beginning" thing. A lot of the challenge from that time existed more out of necessity than game design.

A shooting gallery takes a picture when you hit the target. One woman hit that target nearly every year from 1936 to 2009. Click the pics for the link.
