So they're ... teasing the teaser...?
Technically, that was a preview of the teaser of the teaser trailer.  retard

While exciting, I do hope at some point to see a Marvel movie end with something other than space aliens, robots or a guy in a metal robot suit beating up someone else in a metal robot suit, or giant flying things crashing into the ground and other giant flying things. Perhaps this is a futile wish. smirk

Of course I'm the guy lining up 3-5 times to see said endings. I suppose if I want different endings, I should stop throwing my money at them, right?  icon_smile

I just hope it isn't too dark.  I liked how I could watch the first one with my kids and except of the scene with Loki and Black Widow it was not that dark at all.

But what would be left that would be powerful enough to create real tension?  The only thing I could think of would be 1. magic and they have very purposefully not gone down that route or 2. a super secret organization hiding inside one of the other organizations...and Soulchilde pointed out that Winter Solider did that.

I guess it would be hard to create a lot of tension if I was a comic book write.

Your request reminds me of Superman Returns where the bad guys setup that big gun, shoot at Superman, and we see the bullet hit his eye and smash doing no hard....it wasn't tense.  We all knew what would happen.

Trailer looked good.  Certainly more than what I generally consider a "teaser" these days.  Now to go on media blackout for 9 months until it comes out.

This looks to answer the question, "Wouldn't it be awesome if the last hour of Avengers could be the WHOLE movie?"

I'm not going to lie - Spader's Ultron voice gave me chills, especially when it went devoid of emotion for the last line. I do love the look of things here, but I don't know. I'm anxious to see it but I'm really getting tired of all the Marvel movies boiling down to defusing a ticking bomb at the very last second. I have doubts this will be different in that regard, but then I see the Hulk catch the Hulkbuster's punch and I'm back to drooling uncontrollably. retard

I can answer that right now: No.

The last hour of the first movie was as awesome as it was because of the first hour of the movie.  Pacing, build, and generating a connection to the characters are what make the end work.

Wedon is all about character development and earning the action, so I don't think this movie will be too different in that regard.  The bigger moments are what trailer well, so that's what you see to entice you to come.

For example, the payoff of Hulk sucker punching Thor wouldn't work without the animosity built up when they were fighting earlier. If I wanted meaningless action, I'd watch Transformers movies.

I suspect that scene in the trailer where Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver standing willingly behind Ultron is one their usual edited scenes for trailers, and that it'll be Vision that they're standing behind in the full movie. They do that a lot, like where they filmed a scene for Captain America 2 where:

Spoiler for Hiden:
In the movie, it was Nick Fury's body on a slab with Black Widow standing over him, but in the trailer it was a faceless body covered by a sheet.

I liked it.  Interesting that they re-wrote his origin story from the comics though I guess it makes more sense for what we see in the movie.  Looks appropriately darker.

ok, one bit of advice to any non comics readers.  Don't read the "age of ultron" wiki entry or your head will hurt.

The way that all of the marvel heroes and villains change makes it impossible to understand.

Saw this alternate trailer...I like better because we see some of the humor and a bit better clip of Quicksilver running.

It's definitely a good moment between the team.

Also, I love that they brought War Machine in on this scene.  I hope he has a good role in this.

That scene was great, and that look Thor gives Rogers as he moves the hammer slightly is great

Clip that I bet will be pulled soon.

I love the ways they show how strong Cap is.  His powers if you don't read the comics mostly come across as "he is really fit" but this kind of shows he is a bit stronger than that.

In comics, can Hulk lift that hammer?

He tried to in Avengers and it didn't budge.  Was a cool scene where he actually started digging himself into the ground by pulling on it.
