I write a humorous diary about a guy stuck on an island with just a zombie girl as his companion. Nothing serious here - and no ads. If you take a gander be sure to jump back to the June archive and start at the beginning. The first one is called "My Girlfriend has Crabs".

Thanks for the comments. I'll update as I can and will hopefully be able to keep the gag rolling. I plan to keep it up until it is either un-funny, or I plain run out of ideas for my protagnist. I'm doing the blog as a promotion for my upcoming first novel.

I've actually been a lurker and infrequent poster here and GG before it for years but never had a lot of time to get involved in the madness.

So what's your book about? And is there a solid release date on it?

It's a "Pre-Apocalyptic" novel set in Seattle. Read - Zombies!!

It's about three main characters struggling to survive. The book is about the characters, three real oddballs, it's not really about the zombies. It's also pretty long for a genre novel like this, around 350 pages.

I can post the synopsis if you like. It should be out within two weeks. Just waiting on the printers and proofs or something, I stay out of that side and just write.  icon_lol It's safer that way.

edit: My publisher got the book into 250 pages. Single spaced, and dense. I am a happy camper.

The first entry was read on Dr. Pus's podcast which went up over the weekend. I love the way he reads it and I got a fresh chuckle out of hearing it.

Howdy GT'ers!

The latest entry in the ongoing saga of a man stuck on a deserted island with only a (once) hot zombie girl is up. This weeks entry pushes 'disturbing' to new levels. Although I must say I giggled like a 12 year old when I wrote it. The site also has a new (and I think) professional look. Swing by:

zombie-wilson.blogspot.com and check it out if you get a second.

Don't miss out on winning a free copy of my first novel: Among the Living. Swing by www.amongthelivingbook.com and enter. I have received some really fun responses from the GT crew.

Thanks! This one is just for fun but I have already been approached about putting it in book form when it is done. I was all "Hells to the yeah!"

The next entry is called "My Girlfriend Does the Hula" and should be up tomorrow.

BLP - hah!

It's something he found in the water the first day on the island. A sea cucumber thing. That is how he described it a BLP.

It's been a while since I posted an update on this. Work is still progressing on the diaries and it is now up to day 19. I can also say that the diaries have been picked up and will be published as a revised and expanded edition running 30 days with all new artwork and more content per day. It will be a smaller book and it will actually look like a diary. I am very excited! This is due in part to the great sales of Among the Living and thank you very much to all who purchased it!!

So go read the sickest, grossest, disgusting-est, even-the-author-got-the-heeby-jeebies, entry yet. Really, this is the one that will make you hurl. Tee-hee - or maybe you are just a bunch of sick puppies, like me.

The very last entry is now live. What a fun trip that was. Over the last month ZWD has racked up about 6K hits. Now I just have to finish the revisions on the novel version and deliver it to my editor. The finished book will actually look like a diary and there will art for each of the 30 days. Thanks for stopping by!

My publisher wants a sequel so I will start on it soon. With any luck I can have it out by about April/May next year.

The kindle version. Please avert your eyes for just a moment while I vent ...

O M M F G M F M F M F ER!

Thank you.

Because of the rise in people uploading public domain stuff - or stuff that just plain doesn't belong to them,  Amazon has been taking forever to approve books. Mine and three other authors on my label have been waiting over a month for our novels to be approved.

After consulting with my editor and an angry fan. LOL I did some adjustments to the last day. It is a little more upbeat now. I think I rushed the end and some didn't catch the last joke. Now it is much clearer.

This one is on the fast track for publication. I'm already looking at cover art. The thing grew by about 10K words as I revised it so it really is a proper book now. As soon as the cover is finalized I'll put up a pic. I get a lot of visits from GT so thanks everyone for swinging by.

Hi all, your friendly neighborhood zombie author here. I just got a look at the final art for The Zombie Wilson diaries and thought I would share it. But before that - I have some good news for fans of the blog. It lives! I am not content to let the thing die so I put up the newest entry.

Anyway, here ya be!

Hi all!

I expect to have a proof of Zombie-Wilson Diaries by this weekend. The book has gone through 4 months of rewrites and edits. To celebrate the upcoming release, my publisher is holding a contest. We are giving away signed copies of the book and some other cool stuff including a complete Zombie-Wilson survival kit.

Just head over to the blog for all the details.

http://zombie-wilson.blogspot.com/

Here are a couple of blurbs I managed to pick up along the way.

"Something different for lovers of zombie fiction. A fast-paced, darkly comic tale with a hint - maybe more than a hint - of madness."
-David Dunwoody, author of EMPIRE and UNBOUND & OTHER TALES

"A dog-rough zomedy that'll have you laughing your (undead) ass off from start to finish. Daniel Defoe fans beware!"

The book is now on Amazon. In a week or two it will start showing up on Barnes and Nobel and other book sellers. This is a complete rewrite of the online blog and it spent 3 months in editing. The book is also being considered for a movie option which just blows me away.

The Zombie-Wilson Diaries

It should have been the perfect vacation. A beautiful island without a soul in sight. Blue sea so clear I can see the reef. Palm trees swaying in the wind, and a girl with barely a scrap of clothing on.

There is only one problem. She is a zombie and she wants to eat me. That's right. My only companion is a creature with a hunger for human flesh. I should bash in her brains and toss her in the ocean but I don't have a volleyball to talk to.

All I have is this diary and my own Zombie-Wilson.

Hi All,

I'll be on a blogradio interview this weekend talking up Zombie Wilson Diaries and my first zombie book Among the Living. I will also have Jonathan Moon on. He and I are almost finished with our bizarro novel called The Apocalypse and Satan's Glory Hole. And yes, it will have armies of zombies.

Stop by for a listen or call in if you have questions about writing, zombies, or if you just want to say Hi!  biggrin  Should be a good time!

Linky here.

Hey all! I don't normally beg for sales but I'm having fun doing an impromptu push to sell a few copies of Zombie Wilson Diaries on the kindle. And if you pick up a copy I will send you the PDF proof if you send me an email or PM here. That way you have more than one portable version of the book.

AND it's only $2.99! That's cheaper than a fancy-pants cup of joe at Starbucks. It's the same price as a value meal at McD's and my book WON'T give you gas.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/product-description/B003IWZZS4/ref=dp_proddesc_0?ie=UTF8&n=133140011&s=digital-text

And now some kind words from kind people:

On the whole, I'd call this one a triumph. It's quirky, fast paced, and good to the last withered drop.

Zombie Wilson is the most fun you'll ever have with a corpse in a coconut bra ... and that's saying something.

It's actually a good book. Eric did a great job of paying homage to the master. This book sold so well that it was recently picked up by Simon and Schuster.

But I hear ya. I'm so sick of mashups. I was joking the other day that I was going to do Moby F'ing Zombie Whale and someone said "It's being done."

ugh!
