Don't tread on me

During the winter time I go out every morning and feed corn for the deer. After awhile they start hanging around in the mornings and I can approach within touching distance of some of the younger ones. It's funny to see some of the ones off in the woods come running when they see me too.
This morning as an experiment I went out with their bucket of corn and continued walking out in wood for a quarter mile. The deer all followed me. More would join in as I walked deeper in the woods. I finally went back and fed them at their regular place. Must have been over two dozen of them. The ground looks like a corral for deer. Thousands of hoof prints and nothing grows in the area.
