It was this moment that took the movie from being a little ho-hum to “holy shit, did that shark just eat a plane!?”

This movie was just on SyFy within the last week.
One of the most awesomely stupid movies ever made. The Octopus in many scenes is wayyyy bigger than the shark.
The movie includes a battleship firing it's 16 inch guns into the ocean at the shark....even though they are not depressed.
The octopus also destroys about 20 submarines with one wave of a tentacle.

It reminded me of the old Japanese monster movies where humanities only hope is to get the two monsters to kill each other.
Of course it lacked a lot of the charm of those old cheesefests, but at least the dialog synced up with the actors mouth movements.

Every review I've seen has said it's not even fun on the cheesetastic scale.
Although that clip is pretty ridiculous! I love the attention to detail ("I'm getting married in two days").

Trust me on this, there are really no words to describe Lorenzo Lamas' acting in this movie....it can only be seen and heard to be believed and even then I was not believing it...it was jaw dropping in it's awfulness

The taking out of the plane was IMHO hands down the absolute bestest!! scene EVER done in a SYFY movie...really there is no way they can top that,

I would agree with that sentiment. I like cheesy movies, but this one is mostly just bad. I'd say that acting is laughable, but it really isn't. And the effects are not only terrible, but the same shots are reused multiple times.

I just wonder how mega shark and giant octopus had time to do anything but eat...at that size they needed a lot of food and I don't think the shark got any nourishment from eating metal....which included the jet liner, a battleship and, drum roll please.....the Golden Gate Bridge

I managed to hang in there for most of this movie, but when the shark ate the bridge for no apparent reason I turned it off. Not even "Deborah" Gibson's awesome acting abilities could keep me there.

Oh then you missed the ending where they are in a sub being chased by the shark and to get away they need to head through canyons (because submarine driving at high speed lends itself to tight spaces and tight turning) and the guy who is driving freaks out, jumps up, pulls a gun on the CO...meanwhile the sub is hurtling along in this narrow canyon and they are headed to this tight squeeze space the shark can't get through....it takes a minute or so to get the guy subdued but no worries they held course the whole time. So the shark that can swim fast enough to launch itself out of the water and snag a commercial jet liner is not fast enough to catch this sub

Spolier tag please! Ohh and if you have ever seen the clips of the great white's and the seals you would know that Sharks actually like to play with their food, like a cat. Of course that begs the question of why the hell it's eating a sub. Oh forget it, there's no logic here.

spoiler tag for this movie? I don't think it is possible to spoil this movie. even if I wrote the entire sequence of events it would still need to be seen to be believed for it's utter horridness

I prefer the more realistic shark movies, like Megalodon 3.
