It totally does. Now trailer's ain't full movies, I know, but this one really worked, and I'm really looking forward to the flick.

It's just lame that Bond's playing Texas Hold 'Em.

That's probably my big stickler point as a quasi-purist is that he should be playing Baccarat. Otherwise, I think the trailer kicks an unholy amount of ass. I especially like how they are going to the in-close brutal hand-to-hand fighting versus killing foes with a laser out of his wristwatch. I dig the gadgets, but my favorite Bond movies are "From Russia With Love," "For Your Eyes Only," and "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" which focus more on the espionage and less so on the gizmos. I'm hoping this one will be good, but I do not trust the producers at all with Bond any more.

Dude.

Dude!

Okay, I'm SO seeing this come day 1.

I mean, it's not like I'm getting a PS3 (this comes out the same day as the US launch of the console oddly enough  icon_smile ), so I guess I'll have the time to see this.

Two words: BAD ASS.

WHY do they always trash the sweet car in every Bond movie? You would think that Q might have noticed a long time ago and started substituting Chevy Novas instead of issuing him Aston Martins, Lamborghinis, or BMWs.

I'll see this on opening night. I love the Bond movies, even the sucky ones. Judging from the trailer, it looks like Daniel Craig's version of Bond is more of the icy, no nonsense, cold blooded variety of spy and waaaay far away from the one-liner cracking smug guy that Pierce Brosnan was at times. Couple of things I didn't like though. Poker? Uhhh, no. Also, what was with the dorky swim trunks? Wearing that goofy thing will get you beat up on the beach.

Oh, and the love interest is the hot chick from Kingdom of Heaven. Meeow.

K. Looks good. With caveats:

1. We know how that car chase scene ends now don't we  thumbsdown
2. The intense, cold, bad ass bond is a winner  thumbsup
3. The action set pieces look like all the other action set pieces in james bond films  thumbsdown
4. Daniel Craig looks cool enough to pull off the role  thumbsup
5. It's a poker game because poker is popular now  thumbsdown
6. The gritty parts look excellent  thumbsup
7. The regular James Bondy parts look like regular James Bondy parts  thumbsdown

Overall I'd say it's a possible rental, but I've never been into JB all that much.

Would it be possible for them to change the character from the suave JB to a new and gritty one moving forward in all the films? Is that the plan or would all the JB fans go b-a-n-a-n-a-s?

After seeing that I've raised the Bond Alert level from "Cautiously Optimistic" to "Mildly Excited." Another trailer like that and we may go as high as "OMGX0RZ OP3NING N1GHTZ!."

Meh. Meh meh meh meh meh. Meh.

1. Daniel Craig is still ugly. Seriously, he looks like a common street thug. Bond is upper class, all prim, all suave. This doofus looks like common rabble.

2. Poker? That's blasphemy. Bond plays baccarat.

3. It's a "reboot," and that's bullshit.

4. Ugly Bond playing poker. POKER.

5. The action scenes looks just like all the other action scenes in recent Bond films.

6. Why is Dame Dench in a reboot? That's just going to confuse audiences. Huh? This is his first mission? Wha? But I thought she was his new boss... what? First mission? STUPID.

With proper casting and none of this "we can be Batman, too," reboot crap, I'd be excited about this. I own every Bond film on DVD. The imbecile producers have made the WRONG decision on every possible front with this film, from casting (ugh, spit) on down.

That's exactly what I thought. I almost wanted to put SPOILERS in the title because of that one scene. Shouldn't be in the trailer.
