You ever stop and think that some of those overweight folk enjoying their Mcdonalds and a diet coke just prefer that taste of it over regular coke? My uncle is a big fella. He played pro Football and is just large, he is also diabetic and drinks diet coke with every meal. I have a history of diabetes in my family and all of the men are thick, wide shouldered and from fit to fairly overweight. I'm sure they appreciate assholes who snicker at them while out enjoying a meal. I can only hope that one day my uncle and you run into each other as he also has quite a nasty streak and temper in him. Oh I saw your smilie and it can lick my ass with it's tongue after i eat two Mcribs when it relaunches. Damn your right! being an asshole on the internet is fun! Yeah, but you really aren't very good at the asshole part. I am scared I might run into your uncle though. Whatever will I do? Let me help you with your reading comprehension and memory. My post where I talked about laughing at a fat coworker you seemed to have made a sweeping generalization that I just go out and say "Look a fat person!" HAHA. I couldn't care less if you or your brother is fat (although some of you are pretty damn disgusting to look at). Great, congrats! Be fat and proud! I do very much laugh at my coworker who HAS to lose weight for his job and continually talks about losing weight while he eats his fast food for lunch everyday and drinks 2 liters of diet soda to wash it down. I laugh at people who claim to care about being fat and do nothing about it. Yeah it's not easy, but don't claim to want to lose weight while you eat like shit.

Just because somebody is eating some sort of bad food (a Big Mac, pizza or whatever) doesn't mean that they also necessarily want to drink a couple dozen teaspoons of sugar at the same time. Maybe, as morlac points out, they just like the taste of diet better, or maybe they wanted a cold caffeinated drink without the sugar, or maybe they figured that they are already taking in more calories than they should and there is no need to add another 1000 of empty non-diet soda calories.

I suppose it does come more naturally to some people. Though, I will admit I don't have much practice at it. You seem to be an expert, maybe you can coach me up? edit: Damn I really do suck at this. I forgot to add the which disallows anyone to take offense.

I mentioned to my brother Sunday that the McRib is back! And he gave me this mock-pained look and said, "Oh my god. My stomach hurts just thinking about it!" I really don't remember if I ever had one, but I recall he hasn't liked them (that was probably 20 years ago though). I will try to get over to the one that offers it sometime this week or maybe the upcoming weekend. If possible, I'll take photographic evidence.

So how do you explain this?

I had a McRib combo for lunch yesterday (the McD's near my office now has it). -Tastes good, not great. Certainly not as good as the average grilled baby back ribs at your restaurant of choice, but it is cheaper and easier to eat. -Too much BBQ sauce for my tastes. If I have it again, I'll probably skip it and just get some from the dispensers to add. -Lived to tell about it. Honestly, if you check the nutrition info, it's a lot "less bad" than stuff like an Augus Burger in the calories, fat, sodium department or many offerings at other fast food joints. Doesn't mean you should live off of it, but it's not some sort of monster.

I think they do, they just add unfiltered goat piss to the light mix, on top of the regular piss that's in the light recipe.

A little search turned up this gem... Solving The McRib Mystery: McDonald's Employees Tell Us What's In The Seasonal Sandwichhttp://blogs.laweekly.com/squidink/2010/11/mcdonalds_mcrib_sandwich_fast.phpAnswers varied from "Frozen pork patty," to "Deep fried pork," to "Pressed pork." Perhaps the most comprehensive answer was, "A boneless pork patty that's deep-fried and then slathered with tangy barbecue sauce, topped with pickles and onions and served on a warm roll."
While (part of) that sounds delicious, not one employee was able to explain how the McRib gets its signature "rib" shape. At store after store they each shrugged their shoulders and said, "I have no idea." One did speculate, however, that "it must be magic."[ /size]

For those afficianados, could you sum up it for me with a yes/no?
Is it worth taking the one free lunch day (trying a 4 at home, 1 eat out) a week to try this? Curious about it.

If you mean every week, no. If you mean just to try it once for fun, I give my blessing. I had one and it tasted fine (and nutritionally, it's less bad for you than half the other things on the menu probably), I just don't particularly like smearing BBQ sauce all over my face and hands. The TV ads make it seem like that's half the fun, so each his own. I mean, I love eating baby back ribs at certain restaurants but my motto is if they're done right, they're succulent enough to enjoy with little or no BBQ sauce. Usually if a place drowns it in 'em, you know something's amiss in how they're cooked. Clearly, without being slathered in sauce, a McRib is just not fit to be seen, apparently.

Circumstances forced me to eat at McD's twice today. Though I resisted the McRib's siren call, just for you guys, I saved my place mat... Mmmm, it's like food p0rn... Though I must say I have never, ever seen onions like that on any burger/sandwich at McDonald's over. I don't think they're real... yeah I know, that's why they're perfect for a McRib!
