With THIS many new McDonald's opening next year, the odds of McRibappearances would seem to increase, no? Aw, well, only 150 in the U.S.... McDonald's: 1,000 new restaurants in 2010Fast food giant plans to increase sales by 5% and invest $2.4 billion to enhance its brand. http://www.linkedin.com/pub/john-pulley/4/717/202Specifically, McDonald's plans for 150 new U.S. locations plus: 260 in Europe; 490 across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Australia; 80 in Latin America; and 20 in Canada.
The approach will also involve "innovating" the restaurant's menu on every level, the company said in a statement. McRibovation TM!

Well I see our local McD's has the McRib now. Might get one today. I see they have another new menu item. A Macwrap. It appears to be the insides of a BigMac ripped up and stuffed inside a wrap housing. Will definately get one of those.

I'll stop in for a dollar burger maybe once a month, but that's about it. Every time I eat there, I end up feeling like crap for about 6 hours.

MJ was always weird. It just got, um, exacerbated after Thriller turned him into an icon. I'd still prefer the McDLT and its horrible, wasteful styrofoam packaging returned. I guess the McRib is strictly a "regional" returnee cause it never shows up here in Virginia. I'm heading to McDonald's now to make sure I'm accurate.

AM/PM (west coast convenience store chain) used to have a bbq rib sandwich in their hot food section that was the exact same thing as the McRib, was offered year round and cost around half as much. I haven't looked at the hot food section in an AM/PM since college, however, and I see no sign of it listed on their site's hot food page so I'm guessing it might no longer be around.

Damnation! I spoke too soon. I grabbed breakfast at McD's this morning while waiting on an oil change (for my car, not for McDonald's ). So I guess the one near where I love does have it. Big banner at the restaurant: The McRib is Back!I'll try to check it out later. Although 2 meals at McDonald's in one day is usually an impending sign of doom.

Well it's no mystery what is in it.... McRib Ingredients McRib Patty: Boneless pork (Pork, water, salt, dextrose, citric acid, BHA, TBHQ). McRib Bun: Flour (wheat flour bleached and enriched with thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, iron, folic acid, malted barley flour), water, high fructose corn syrup, yeast, vegetable oil (partially hydrogenated soybean oil, cottonseed oil). Contains 2 percent or less of dextrose, fumaric acid, calcium sulphate, salt, acetic acid, soy flour, monocalcium phosphate, ammonium sulphate, cornstarch, fungal protease, natural culture, ammonium chloride, ascorbic acid, azodicarbomide, mono- and diglycerides, propionic acid, phosphoric acid, corn flour, calcium peroxide, calcium propionate, dicetyl tartaric acid esters of mono- and diglycerides, ethoxylated mono- and diglycerides. McRib Sauce: Water, high fructose corn syrup, tomato paste, distilled vinegar, molasses, natural smoke flavor, modified food starch, salt, sugar, soybean oil, spices, onion*, mustard flour, garlic *, xanthan gum, caramel color, sodium benzoate (preservative), natural flavor (vegetable source), corn oil. *Dehydrated Pickle Slices Cucumbers, water, vinegar, salt, calcium chloride, alum, natural flavorings (vegetable source), polysorbate 80, turmeric (color). Slivered Onions It can't be any worse then how they make hotdogs. Mcrib trivia! * McRib Trivia (from McDonald's) Every year McDonald's purchases 250,000,000 pounds of pork. * The McRib sandwich as been mentioned twice on David Letterman's "Top 10 List." * Each McRib sandwich is actually submerged in tangy BBQ sauce. * The McRib sandwich was first introduced to the public in 1982. * The McRib sandwich sports 2 pickles and .25 ounces of onions. * The McRib sandwich was spoofed in The Simpsons episode #303.

Why on earth would I get McDs nuggets when I can go someplace that actually has nuggets which taste and look like chicken meat. The McRib is a slab of funny tasting, oddly shaped meat covered in barbecue sauce. It's like everything McDs, you can find better elsewhere. Plus it goes back to the less overly processed foods you eat, the better. I am guessing if you love the McRib you don't care about this though and are washing it down with 2 liters of diet coke.

Yea....because liking the McRib automagically makes you an out of shape fat ass that doesnt give a crap about their health. God forbid there are people out there that can actually moderate themselves and still enjoy something that may not be good for them once in awhile.......

I can't think of a single chicken nugget from any fast food place that looks like meat from an animal. Nice stereotyping on your last paragraph. Are you honestly coming into a thread about fast food and preaching about eating processed foods? Oh never mind I forgot you like to laugh at fat people. Not that they are the are the only ones who enjoy the occasional fast food meal as pointed out by stimpy. How about you work on being less of an ass and stop worrying how big everyone's else is?

I can't think of a single chicken nugget from any fast food place that looks like meat from an animal. Wendy's and Chick-Fil-A nuggets are both made with pieces of chicken. Pretty easy to tell. Nice stereotyping on your last paragraph. Are you honestly coming into a thread about fast food and preaching about eating processed foods? Oh never mind I forgot you like to laugh at fat people. You guys noticed the smily face right? But yeah, I am pretty sure people who care about their health pretty much never eat at McDs. Everyone I know who is into health/sports/fitness would never ever eat there. Hell, I eat there, and I don't give a shit about my health right now. I don't eat the nuggets of course, I find them disgusting. I also don't eat McRibs for the same reason (I used to work at McDs when I was a teenager). I don't laugh at fat people really, just the ones who drink diet coke with their double quarter pounder with cheese and a large fries. Obviously those people deserved to be laughed at and I am a bad person for it. I am ok with that. Being an asshole on gaming forums is fun! (I am sure you all missed the sarcasm there.) Edit: I amend that. I work with a 20 year old who is very much into fitness and he eats like complete crap (he will get a 50 piece nuggets and eat it in one sitting). Once you get into your 30s you can't do that.

You ever stop and think that some of those overweight folk enjoying their Mcdonalds and a diet coke just prefer that taste of it over regular coke? My uncle is a big fella. He played pro Football and is just large, he is also diabetic and drinks diet coke with every meal. I have a history of diabetes in my family and all of the men are thick, wide shouldered and from fit to fairly overweight. I'm sure they appreciate assholes who snicker at them while out enjoying a meal. I can only hope that one day my uncle and you run into each other as he also has quite a nasty streak and temper in him. Oh I saw your smilie and it can lick my ass with it's tongue after i eat two Mcribs when it relaunches. Damn your right! being an asshole on the internet is fun!
