25 days and counting down ...

This is my most highly anticipated DVD release ... well, probably ever. This is strengthened by the fact that I haven't actually seen the movie yet, but I know just how damn good it's going to be. Batman Begins is one of my favorite movies of all time.

I have the bluray + digital copy edition on pre-order from Amazon, and plan to give the digital copy a permanent home on my ipod touch. I also have a new sound system in place for the home theater bluray experience.

/geek out

To make this even cooler, I received my $10 gift card code from Fable 2 today from Amazon, and was able to apply that to my TDK purchase, making it $13.99 smile

your link's not working.

I'm in for this on day one, and I'll probably grab it locally.  last few times I've ordered a DVD online I've gotten them, opened them and found that they were knocked around so badly they were slipping around in their case.

I remember the level of anticipation I felt toward the release of Batman Begins.  This surpasses that 10-fold.  We'll be having a Batman movie night when this film is released, complete with popcorn from the actual movie theater, movie theater candy (Raisonettes, Milk Duds, etc), and we'll pack the living room full of fans to watch both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight back to back.

Or we reverse it and watch it at my place in BluRay.  Just sayin...

I've been resistant because if I watch a movie on Blu-Ray I'll want a Blu-Ray player of my own.  And given my multi-400-disc DVD changer setup, the idea of rendering that investment almost obsolete worries me.  Not because of the cost (after all, I am PeteRock Fabulous), but because of the wife's reaction to my purchasing movies at $30 a pop instead of $15 and no longer putting discs in my Fireball setup, as I do absolutely love that system.  I fear just how pretty Blu-Ray really is.

But perhaps this once I'd consider it, because after all, it is The Dark Knight.   drool  I hate you for what you're going to make me want to buy.

your link's not working.

What, you're saying that 'http://' isn't a valid URL?

Only 'http://' (which is the URL for EVERYTHING) can express the awesomeness of this release.

I loved Batman Begins and cannot wait to watch Dark Knight.

I'm hoping that there's a buy DK and get BB free or uber cheap....so that's what I'll wait for...

Can't wait for this. Will probably be our first big BR purchase.

Unfortunately, the wife is out of town until the 10th. In negotiations with her to get me to wait to watch it with her. I'm guessing she will make it worth my while.  icon_twisted

I like the way your mind works. slywink

Anyway...just joking around. No way I'd watch it without my baby. I'll be too friggin' depressed to enjoy it anyway.  icon_lol

Ah, the irony...  Pete, you're soaking in it.

And then there's the Sony HES-V1000, a 200-disc Blu-Ray changer.
