It has run pretty well for me?

Even for Facebook games?

Sadly, I'm not cool enough for Facebook games.

Which comes to my point. Flash isn't nearly as useful on tablets as you would think.

63% of all internet videos is now HTML5-compliant, and growing.

Most Flash games work on phones/tablets because of the touch screen.

Those that are designed with touch in mind, has a better venue: the App Store/Marketplace.

As for Hulu, do you know that even if you *do* have Flash, Hulu blocks all video on mobile devices? So that's out.

Netflix? 1) there's an app for that, and 2) they use Silverlight, so the point is moot.

FaceBook games? Doesn't work on mobile devices.

So what's left? Ads, pretty much. Including badly designed restaurant websites and movie/game promotional websites.

In other words, Flash isn't as big of a feature for tablets and phones as people think.

I'll second that - I almost never notice Flash missing on my iPad or iPhone.  The only time I notice Flash on my desktop or laptop is when it's done something stupid and crashed my browser or something.  It's just a non issue for me - the sites I go to display just fine without Flash.

The Galaxy Tab runs flash.

My Evo handles flash effortlessly.   Just sayin...

I run into problems with Flash all the time on my ipad.
I usually have to make note of the video I cannot watch, close out the browser, and launch the "you tube" app and search for it.

Not a total deal breaker, but yes, it is a PITA.

Allot more work then if the damn thing would just use flash like the rest of the world.

I like IOS because of itunes compatibility, and no fooking annoying adds within the apps.  (I would rather pay the $1.00.)

I like android because of flash and google nav / places.

Aside from hardware specs, those are the things that weigh in my mind when choosing a phone (or in the future my next tablet).

As far as the ipad 2 goes?  My ipad does anything I want, I doubt I will upgrade until ipad3...   Or maybe even longer.

Yeah, this is the result of Google updating YouTube's player so that it is independent of an app. Their goal is to have YouTube accessible via webM (especially) and yes, h.264, via the browser, making an YouTube app unnecessary.

The results, so far, isn't great. But I notice that it improved quite a bit in the past few days. Hopefully the improvements continue.

Wait, if it's a youtube video then all you have to do is tap the vid and the app opens automatically. At least that's how it works on my iphone.

Not all videos on YouTube have that capability. I've run into at least a couple while trying to play some Beatles Rock Band for my daughter on my iPhone.

Would the 3G work overseas, say in Korea (looks like I'm heading there for a business trip in June)? Probably not, just thought I'd ask in case anyone has experience with that kind of thing.  icon_smile

It's cool Jobs (on sick leave) showed up for it. It's great they kept the original pricing in place.

Hmm maybe you're right.  This already exists for PCs, I guess I was expecting it to be something different all together.

iTunes Home Sharing is not wireless sync. It will just make your iOS device show up in iTunes wirelessly like other computers do, so you can listen to music and watch video from your device without having to plug it in.

I wish they would of kept the swipe gestures that were in the 4.3 betas. Why won't Apple start stealing ideas from other makers, the popup notifications are pretty fucking annoying.
