Nonnahob is a product of the Detroit public schools.  He can cut a kilo of coke so that it's most profitable and hide a gun used in a drive by so no one will ever find it, but reading is not his forte.

you do realize you're going to have to explain forte to him, right?  otherise he's going to think it's an old English structure made out of sofa cushions and blankets.

and by old English I'm not talking about the 40's.

So I got a chance to speak with Kato's commanding officer, and apparently the eye injury wasn't _exactly_ as he described it.

Spoiler for In Katos mind...:

Naw, the Marine Corps won't let me use my Ghost Pro perk anymore  icon_wink

The reason the Air Force, Army, Navy and Marines bicker amongst themselves is that they don't speak the same language. For instance, take the simple phrase "secure the building".

The Army will post guards around the place.
The Navy will turn out the lights and lock the doors.
The Marines will kill everybody inside and set up a headquarters
The Air Force will take out a 5 year lease with an option to buy.

So tell us, in laymans terms (aka "secure the building" means wrapping a warm towel around it and serving it a nice cup of tea), why are you being transitioned, and how does that change your job? What are the pros/cons?

And what was it like sleeping with the wife of your commanding officer? slywink

To me, "Secure the building" will always mean something like this:

I've been deployed in 8 combat zones since 1994 so the idea of ending my career by just instructing/teaching young Rangers seemed like a great option for me to be with my family.

Pros:
Get to keep my rank
Non-Deployable MOS
Better equipment
More family programs
Get to raise my son to be an elite ninja like me

Cons:
The end of my combat arms career
Army uniform (too much velcro!!! The whole country of Afghanistan would hear me if I rubbed up against a tree)
FT Benning is nice, but I'm not used to living in Georgia
Training hours are kinda crazy
