Seeing as there's sure to be a Super Bowl thread on here sometime soon and since I am going to be forced to torrent the game because of my current housing arrangement, I hope that we can put all the post-game hoopla in this thread. Feel free to post all the spoilers you want in here as I won't be checking this thread until I've watched the game

It's just painful for me how slowly a game of football moves and how long it takes to get through even two quarters. Play 10 seconds... time out... commercial... play 10 seconds... time out... commercial...
And the commercials haven't really been worth it either.

I liked the Bud light wine and cheese commercial.
As for the game, the Pats O line needs to step it up. Giants D is owning them.
I'm shocked at how's it's been so far!

The first quarter was very fast, 2nd not so much.

The FedEx commercial with the pidgeons and the Coke commercial with the parade balloons were both great.

Dear Mr Belichick, Resident Genius,
18 wins and Videotapes are worthless. You might not have noticed, but you need to outscore the other team, sir. Defense wins championships. And don't run in the locker room like a sulking cunt. Shake the man's hand like you have a sack.
Congrats NY Giants.

I, along with 39% of America (from ESPN), picked the Giants in a close one. I had a feeling and I liked the way they played Green Bay and how lousy the Pats looked against the Chargers.

That was pretty funny. Almost as funny as seeing Tom Brady play like shit and miss wide open receivers over and over. I can't believe how bad the Giants pressure got to him. The whole defensive line should have been named MVP.

Yeah Brady had a pretty awful night really. No protection most of the time, and when he did get time to throw he tended to over/under throw almost constantly. The long throws especially were just incredibly off.
Good game for the Giants.
I fear the floodgates opening on commercials featuring Eli now though :|

Credit the Giants' defensive line and some clutch plays by Eli Manning for this one.
That was probably the best performance by a defensive line I have ever seen. They started to tire at the end. But for most of the game they dominated the Patriots' Oline.
This game just proved that no matter how great of a quarterback somebody is, if you put great pressure on him he will make mistakes.

I'm haven't been a Giants fan in the past, but seeing them win, and beat that cheating, classless, cocksucker Bill Belichick, and that arrogant franchise, is close to making me one.
Congrats to the Giants and their fans.

Although I found the upset by the Giants an exciting and excellent finish to the game, for me that game had far too many turn overs and too low a score to be a great game. I'm admittedly not a huge football fan, but I'm a hockey fan that can always enjoy a tight 1-0 or 2-1 game. As for overall pure entertainment value, all I can say is that this years CFL Grey Cup game absolutely pawned that game!

There were 2 turnovers. And 1 was basically on the last play of the 1st half. I watched the Grey Cup too. But in my opinion the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl blew away the Grey Cup. Especially considering what was at stake.

This was the most exciting game of professional football I've ever seen. There's something amazing about a close scoring game, that comes down to the LAST TWO SECONDS (the last second was a wash, sorry.) of the game. Low scoring doesn't bother me. Low scoring makes it more intense IMO. You've got a great matchup, where no team was up by more than four points the entire game.
Yeah, I guess the second and third quarters were pretty boring. But I'd much rather have a dramatic finish than a blow-out. Edge of the seat the entire fourth quarter.
Except that last second. Having to clear the field so you can snap the ball and take a knee is stupid.
