Try to make this thought work in your head:
Rex Grossman Superbowl Winning Starting QB.
Yeah, you can't, can you?
Colts.

I'm picking the Colts, but that Chicago defense is going to play Manning tough.

I picked my team didn't win...cause well they didn't. So, I really don't care who wins...but I guess if I was forced to pick a winner I would pull for the Bears.

God, neither.
(I'm obliged to say that as a Patriots fan...but really, I'm sorta pulling for Manning. If Rex Grossman gets a Super Bowl ring, it'll be an embarrassment for every Super Bowl-winning quarterback forever.)

If Trent Dilfer can be a winning Super Bowl QB, then Grossman can.
That should be the rallying cry of Bears fans "If Trent can do it, Grossman can!"

I'm telling myself "If Jim McMahon can do it, so can Rex Grossman". And on the plus side... maybe we can stop hearing about these guys... ...but I doubt it. Anyway, GO BEARS!

Why? Their secondary has sucked recently.

I'm pulling hard for the Bears because if the Colts manage to pull it out, it will mean nothing but more Manning commercials. Literally every commercial airing in every single commercial break for the next year will feature Peyton Manning.
Imagine Manning's voice chanting "Head On - Apply directly to the forehead!" This is my conception of hell.

The horrific Patriots loss has turned me into a 15 year old girl (or Lockdown) - I'm looking forward to commercials and Prince at haltime. Consider me not interested at this point...

So do you apply such ridiculous hyperbole to everything in your life, or just Manning and the Colts? I ask because you keep posting the same overblown thing on two different boards

It's easier than saying 'Trent Dilfer'. Oh and you are not 100% precise and accurate so you know nothing. It just happens that you're right this time. Colts!

The world can only be a better place if Manning did more commercials. In fact, I propose that Manning play ALL male-roles in ALL commercials. No TV commercial shall be legal and viewed unless it has either Manning, Hot women, or both. Imagine a world where the guy who says "Imagine a world" is now Manning. A cheerleader on the bathroom floor "I've fallen and I can't get up" and Peyton Manning's assured voice signaling "I'm calling for help!"
Oh, Nirvanna!

I'm not sure which is worse: Peyton Manning actually winning The Big Game(tm), or Rex Grossman being allowed within a hundred miles of Miami.
The commercials better be good.
(Colts will win, IMO)

Go Bears.
Now that I've had a chance to come down some from being upset, that's silly. I've always liked the Colts as far as a rival goes, and won't really mind if they end up winning it all. Of course, in the years that the Patriots have not won over the past 8 or 9 Superbowls, I've always ended up rooting for the loser, so...
