Rush's 'Clockwork Angels' Hits June 12
The conceptual set will trace a protagonist's journey through a world of steampunk, alchemy and an exotic carnival; drummer and lyricist Neil Peart is also penning a novelization of the album with prolific author Kevin J. Anderson. Omg omg omg....

Or 0912. I'm pretty sure they were going for the 2112 thing though.

I saw them in New Orleans last year and they played a couple of songs off this album. They sounded great, so very excited for the album.

I seen them at the Toronto 'SARSstock' back in ~03(?). Never was really a fan but they were pretty entertaining there.

I know! There is so much in there, elements of their early stuff but with a new sound. That's part of why I was so excited. So few bands can still sound classic but new at that same time. Which is why we say How amazing is Rush?

Holy cow I am listening again and I am near tears. This is so great! When I last saw them on the first S&A tour, I got a bit misty eyed. These guys have been with me since the mid-80s and it's such a pleasure and joy to hear/see them. Listening to them regularly is one thing, but to be moved in person or with NEW FUCKING AWESOME MATERIAL gives such joy that I am having DUST IN MY EYES.
EPIC.

Very promising. I hated Snakes and Arrows for how boring and forgetful it was, like the band was just going through the motions. The new song at least has some personality to it.

HAY GUISE,
New Rush this Tuesday! But, through the magic of the INTERNET, I have heard the entire album.
I'm pretty confident that in this fan's estimation, this is the finest record they've put out in a darn long time. The playing is top notch, the songs are impressively complex and attainable, and it just sounds GOOD.
The fact that it's a concept album just takes the cake. There's no real oddball songs here that stick out; instead, everything is quite cohesive without sounding similar.
Very pleased!

Am I the only one bothered by a cool album cover that happens to have an hour hand that doesn't reflect the actual time? That hour hand should not be pointed directly at the 9 spot, but should have already moved past according to the minute hand. It's a small error, but one you can't ignore once you see it.

See rshetts2 post above. That doesn't clear up the error, though. Yeah, the reason it's 9:12 on the clock is because it means 21:12 in military time, but the hour hand should still be a little past the 9.

I still do, just not my "style" as much as it used to be. That being said, wife and I are going to sit outside and have a few cocktails before bed. "rush" pandora station is gonna play! She doesn't like rush...
