I'm awed at what amateur efforts can produce nowadays. Watching the first season of Babylon 5 (or Space Above and Beyond) just shows how laughable the special effects were.

I'm only familiar with Star Trek of the two. I didn't watch the whole thing, but it was kind of cool. It looked good, but yeah they did some things a bit wrong. At least on the Star Trek end. Still cool though.
