I decided to be "pro-actively lazy" this last fall by not setting my clocks back an hour (all the ones that required manual intervention that is)
So starting tomorrow - all my clocks will be correct again

Only uncivilized places like Japan and Saskatchewan don't have daylight savings time. Do you really want it to get dark at 7 o'clock in the evening? Huh? Do you?

For me, it's not really about what time it gets dark at. Just keep it the same bloody time. Keeping it daylight savings time all year round would be fine with me. Enough of this annoying time switching nonsense!

I like longer days. it seems in my older age Ive become one of the people I used to make fun of..those who suffer depression in the winter time due to cold and darkness.

The days aren't longer. An hour of sunlight has been moved from the morning to the evening.

I'm glad it's dark once again past 7:00am because I hate having the sun right in my face when driving to work, but it won't last since the days are getting longer. It's not officially spring yet and I'm already looking forward to next winter. I hate the long, hot summer days. My grass is starting to wake up from it's winter slumber. Nuts! Yardwork - I absolutely despise it.

interesting wikipedia spells it like you do and dictionary sites spell them without the ' .
whatever I certainly enjoyed my time there.
yes it does cost a lot to live there but its relative as well. I was there in the late 80's and even then a job at Jack-in-the-box paid like $8/hour.
In a health survey Hawaii was listed as one the the (if not #1) healthiest places to live in the US.

Yeah, I remember someone brought up the fact that it is one of the healthiest places to live. Kinda interesting if you think about it, because the diet here seems to make me believe the opposite. Yeah, it is really weird that the spelling is different in so many places.

The last few times I've been to Hawai'i I've seen it spelled like that everywhere there. I always say it spelled as Hawaii growing up, though.

What, "plate lunch, two scoops rice" isn't the road to fitness? What the hell am I doing then? Maybe I should reconsider my malasada regimen.

Bah! My cell phone receives it's time changes through my phone company itself. Last year I didn't know that. I couldn't figure out a way to change it myself so I set the alarm in it to account for it. Some time during the morning, it switched over automatically by receiving a signal from a tower or something, I guess. And of course my alarm was off by an hour. This year it STILL hasn't updated. I know my way around the phone relatively well by now and there's no way to change the time yourself.
