You're right.  There is no other possible explanation.  Except why the hell would they green screen his hand out for him to have no arm?  Especially when he's wearing a bulky trenchcoat which would hide his real arm easily.

i was thinking something similar...doesn't make any sense to have the whole arm of his coat hanging there if he doesn't have an arm at all.  most people that are missing an arm will modify their clothers to keep the sleeve from getting in the way.  that pic makes it look like they're going to be doing something to change the appearance of his hand, not remove it altogether.

His arm has probably already started regenerating back and he's there meeting with Peter to try to find out 'what went wrong' or to brag.

look at the way he's keeping his arm straight down and the way he's standing, I'd say he's trying to look like a one armed man.   I'm thinking they're going to CGI the coat to look like it's been modified and are avoiding the cheesy 'stuffed coat' look he'd have with him hiding his arm inside.  sure, it's a trench, but I'd hardly call it bulky, and certainly not bulky enough to properly hide his whole arm.

hmm,it does seem weird...maybe they are changing the way Curt Connors lost his arm(wiki search says he lost it in an explosion in the Army)..and so its gonna look all gross or something,and drop off

as Disarm(convenient name for the post)says,the sleeve would look like it has an arm in there if they edited it out,and the sleeve would move a whole lot differently

EDIT:CK,wouldn't the actual sleeve/coat have to have green screen fabric on it somewhere for them to CGI the sleeve?

sorry if this has been said before,but i was looking at the cast list on IMDb,and it seems that Mary and Richard Parker will be in it also(probably for the introduction)



Interesting also that Nels Van Adder has also been cast,he was the Oscorp employee who the Green Goblin serum was first tested on

I'm pretty sure they are CGing a black cane for his right hand and then a Black tophat for his head.  It is going to make those emo dance sequences awesome!
Think Mary Poppins but with more pouting and an occasional action scene with no less than 8 customed bad guys.  Sign me up!

Most people that I've seen missing an arm have the sleeve pinned up to keep it out of the way.  I would imagine that they're just putting in CG to replace what's coming out of the sleeve.  Not that I can see the pic at the moment due to bandwidth issues.
