To me the series is much more than what Hepcat portrayed.  i think they have actually done a pretty good job building up to what must inevitably come in a Spartacus story.

I think my problem with this show is total and complete lack of restraint.  I know the Romans weren't really know for restraint, but when you make Lawrence Olivier's oyster speech look like the model of subtlety, you're doing it wrong.

Not sure how many episodes are slated to be done but they sure are dragging out the gladiator part.  They have a whole slave rebellion and fighting Roman Legions part that I believe lasted the better part of a year to get through.

Yeah the first few really blow chunks, but it quickly becomes mediocre, guilty fun and by now I'd say it's an excellent show.  Apparently, though, the main actor has non-Hodgkin's lymphoma so filming of season 2 is going to be delayed until he recovers.

Just finished watching episode 13 (season finale) holy sh*t this is how you do a season finale! Very epic and satisfying. Can't wait for season 2 and my wishes go out to actor Andy Whitfield(Spartacus) for a speedy recovery.
