Our kid was frantically playing tonight, and misjudged a landing on mom's lap, flipped over backwards and bonked the back of his head on the (carpeted) floor... waterworks ensue... so we take him upstairs to get him ready for bathtime, and because it always cheers him up, we let him run around naked while the tub is filling up... he's having a blast, laughing hysterically, etc.  He runs into the kitchen, pees on the floor, and then takes off running... through the pee... slips on it, ass over teakettle, and lands on the back of his head again, in the pool of pee...

I'm sure it really hurt, but once it was clear that no serious injuries had been sustained, it was pretty damn funny...

Strangely enough, as an adult I still find myself laying in a puddle of my own pee far too often.... retard

In Kratz' defense, he was pretty strange to begin with.

Just don't take any pictures. You will likely be arrested by an overzealous photo developer and cop.

I always laugh at my kids when they are horsing around, getting a little to giddy, and I warn them to stop before someone gets hurt.

Then 2 minutes later, Bam! Whhhhaaaaaaa! ... I just lean back and say "Told ya."  You'd think they'd be conditioned to believe me by now.

The kid pees on the floor?  How old is this child?

Months.

And he doesn't 'pee on the floor', he had no pants on and he peed... because, you know... he's barely past being a baby.

The worst is when they are doing something they aren't supposed to be doing and you have to fight the laughter. My wife always gets mad at me because I can't help but laugh and that just encourages him.

Kids are funny. It's that simple.

It was this moment that took the movie from being a little ho-hum to “holy shit, did that shark just eat a plane!?”

Yeah I do that with my cousin's kids all the time.  Them breaking stuff (especially when it isn't mine) is just funny to me.

In the privacy of your own home is one thing. When they start taking off their pants and peeing on the floor of Wal-Mart well then, I imagine that's when the true test of parenting begins.

speaking of which, don't you have a peeing-on-the-floor-at-walmart aged youngster running around the house now?  icon_twisted

you do get some funny moments there, kratz.  mostly, we get the 'stop hitting/pulling/sitting on your brother' moments.

Yup...there's lots to be said for the natural consequences approach to parenting. smile

That's the best way to describe it - they'll always do things that you'll never expect, and you'll just have to sit back and laugh at it because it's funny.

Well... the actual act of procreation was 2 years ago... the kid was born 14 months ago.

His name is Otto.
