Part of the wounded warrior program, driving them to their specialty appointments off post.

do you intentionally teach them to do things wrong so their DI's yell at them more?  That's what they did to me

I don't have to. For some reason these kids I have right now can't stand still, unable to do 1 pull up, and can't run 50 feet before bitching. Poor bastards have until June before the Drill instructors take over

That's pretty awesome of you.

If I can ask, feel free to ignore, how can you afford not to work, save a ton of money? Good disability?

Chief of Mission Integration is my job title. I am basically a supervisor for training, budgeting, and the department that deals with the SpaceX contract, among others. In reality, I have little to do though. Just waiting for Nov so I can move back to WA and get a job, or go to school full time (the latter is the plan). Want to be an accountant, but probably too old for that career progression.

All my deployments since 1994 went straight to the bank or paid off debts.  Also medically retired with close to 19 years active duty means benefits for life for myself and family. It also doesn't hurt that my wife has a decent paying job here in Georgia, combined with the low cost of living means I can live comfortably and not work unless I want to.  Just bought a house and just 1 monthly retirement check covers the mortgage/utilities for two months.

Plus, if the bank comes up to his house (on the right side of him), he'll just go pew-pew-pew on 'em. If they come up on his bad side, he'll figure that the voices have now turned from officer-chatter to financial commercials.

That's pretty awesome Kato, other than that to get that much disability you already paid quite a price. At least you are set for life, that's got to be a good feeling at least.
