I have three "vehicles"
- a 2011 silver Norco Bushpilot (mountain bike with street tires),
- a 2001 orange/silver Derbi Predator (50cc 2-stroke scooter) and
- a 2005 Jeep Liberty Rocky Mountain edition.

Yeah, I ride a scooter. So what?! slywink

Sokay though - a friend of mine left town and I was storing all his stuff - he then gave it all to me as shipping and time investment wasn't worth it. Luckily it has snow tires. slywink I took it in to a scooter enthusiast's after-work shop, and he said the thing is so rare that to a collector my Derbi is worth ~5k. Gotta find a collector now. biggrin

The one above ain't mine (and is a 2000) but it's close enough. I'm thinking about riding a motorcycle next year but insurance rates are stupid here. Also, this scooter costs me 5 bux of premium at the pump, and lasts me a good 7-9 days.

2010 Suburu impreza. Love it still. Only 15,000 miles on it. Still a baby. Possibly the best car I've ever owned.

2004 Mazdaspeed Miata MX-5, 35,000 miles. Only 4,000 Speeds were produced in '04 and only about 1,000 of them were "velocity red." Car fits me perfectly and is fun to drive; I'll keep it until it falls apart or I do, whichever comes first.

06 Mustang, I've had it for a few years but I don't drive much. The car has 38K miles on it. Our other car is an 09 Nissan Rogue. My wife drives it because my car is too low or something and that works for me.

I have issues with your vehicles Purge!

You have a 50cc scooter named "Predator" : The only thing it can prey on is old ladies on those weasel scooters I see at grocery stores!

you have a mountain bike named "Bushpilot" you have disgraced by putting road tires on...for shame!  It must weep every time you take it out.

Please tell me your "Rocky Mountain" edition Jeep Liberty isn't lowered with wide street tires on it?

All in Jest of course!

Scooter is nice looking!  For 5K I 'd sell it buy something with an actual engine on it slywink

I know, right? I thought it was worth about 1200. I was shocked.

I've gotten the thing up to 87km/h (54mph), and it's peppy off the line. No cars wait behind me to move. biggrin

Insurance costs 160/riding year (april - nov).

The bike doesn't have slicks on it (used to). I have road tires due to noise and drag. I maintain about 36km/h on my commute. Much slower with mountain bike tires.

I would love to have a scooter for work, getting around. Unfortunately Florida drivers scare me to death even when I am in a car, so wouldn't dare a scooter here (I quit cycling here as well, too scary).

I have a 2010 VW Golf TDI. Favorite car I have ever owned, love the thing. It's paid off which makes it even better. Due to the upcoming long term unemployment means I don't have much choice in the matter anyway.

I've got a 2005 Toyota Matrix that hit 140,000 miles on it a few weeks ago.  I'm trying to get it through one more winter before I trade it in...most likely for a Prius or some other form of hybrid or smaller non-hybrid car.  I'm sick of gas prices.

I did get a new engine in the car at 40,000 miles when a Jiffy Lube employee didn't put a cap back firmly after an oil change.  It was a slow leak until the next day on my way home from work it popped off...and I was in the construction zone of a highway with no should to turn off onto and Chicago 5 o'clock traffic behind and in front of me.  By the time I was able to pull off to the side, the engine was destroyed.  Thankfully, the Jiffy Lube shop owner wasn't too much of a dick about it and his insurance covered the replacement.

I have a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid and I've been quite happy with it.  I do feel a bit guilty about the hybrid now that I've moved with a new job and live only ~3 miles from work, though.   icon_redface

2001 Acura RSX with over 200k on it.  damn solid car and consistently gets over 30 mpg.  I'm only starting to consider a newer car for commuting.

I am about done with my Jeep - I keep hoping the CAFE standards will force them to up their fuel efficiency - so I've resigned myself to continue on for the next 3 years.

They call it Sedona Red. It's kind of a burnt orange/red color.

Not my car, but looks just like it (other than it being RHD):

I am rocking a 2009 Honda Civic. Still all original everything! Still less than 25k miles on it! It is mint!

Also have a scooter, a Vespa Super 250. Only unusual thing about it is it is one of about 70 that were misbadged a Super 300 by the company when they brought it to the States. It gets a few looks when I'm on the highway around here since you don't see too many people riding scooters.

They just close them down here. The place I originally put a down payment at couldn't get any more bikes in and they closed down. The place I purchased my bike from closed down like a year later. A local Vespa dealer that was very convenient but the owner came across as a dick closed down. A new place that had a ton of bikes, had a great setup, and fantastic owner closed down after about 2 years.

Down to a last semi-convenient location which is about a 30 minute ride (has a great mechanic there). If that closes I have to either go in to Chicago or start looking towards Wisconsin for dealers to perform the more difficult maintenance I can't do my self.
