Well, I don't know Al Davis, but Charles Napier died the same day as Jobs.

Friends and I have consistently said that the only way the Raiders organization will ever improve is if that crazy bastard Al Davis dies. Watch out for the Raiders in the future.
That isn't necessarily meant to celebrate his demise, but I'm sure Raider nation will mourn his loss but welcome the change.

Yep I live in The Bay and all my Raiders fan friends think the same. Given the prerequisite to have served time in order to be considered a fan I would have expected them to take matters into their own hands rather than waiting for natural causes.

Peterock, I was waiting for when I heard people start saying that (about the team being bad until Al died). That team turned it around last year. Al was alive when they went .500, and started moving back to being a winning team. As bad as his decisions on personnel have been, the guy wanted to put a winning team on the field (unlike the Mccaskey's with Da Bears); he just was wrong with what it was going to take to win in the modern NFL.
And sad to hear about Napier. "You're gonna look pretty funny tryin' to eat corn on the cob with no f$%*ing' teeth!!!" All time classic line.

Saw a little news item today saying that Zsa Zsa Gabor is at death's door, so she's my candidate for celebrity death #3.

Mikey Welsh, former bass player for Weezer, was found dead in a hotel room last night. I'm not sure I'd say he was famous enough to count as one of the three though...wasn't a founding member of the band and only played with them for a few years.
