congrats,i hope to be in a similar position in about 16 years time when my Mortgage ends  and i painted one of my rooms Light Blue,and realised when finished that it was the colours of a rival footy team,so undercoat it became  |

Thanks guys...I'm both stoked and nervous as hell. We got it for a steal though, it was quite literally too good to pass up. Gonna be nice to have roots for once.
They are brewing Yuengling over in Tampa and the wife is buying me a kegerator at some point this year, so yes - party at Mike's house. I'm scared of little people though, so leave them at home.

I have painted every room in my house at least once....a couple more than once. It is the only thing I am even slightly qualified to do within a home to make it look better.
And yes, sometimes you pick the wrong color...
and Congrats on the mortage......and thank you for doing your part to bring back the economy.

We are in beginning first house-hunting mode at the moment. About 2 years ago we started looking because we thought we were getting kicked out of our rental (turns out we didn't), so I've gone through some of the process. This time we are not having to try and buy in less than 2 months but I'm not relishing the process. I'll be happy when we have more space, though. |

Moving day went pretty well.
The cable guy showed up at around 5:30 to hook us up. We go out back to the lines and they had cut them from the pole. That poor fella had to run lines from the pole to the house and then run them into the back bedroom (where our office is). 3 hours and one thunderstorm later it was finished. We still need the tv hooked up, but that's pretty easy provided the cables are still in the walls. Now to clean the old place and unpack.
I have a bottle of Guatemalan rum I bought at the duty free shop waiting to get opened tonight. Pair that with a fine cigar and a Florida sunset and it's going to be a nice evening at the new abode.

Going with the 12 inch rolling paint brushes and an extendable pole to hold it is the only way to go. If you are using one of those short paint rollers then you are wasting a lot of time and energy.
