I'm sure I would love this one just as much as the first two.  About as much fun as...something sucky and unfun.  Pop references, toilet humor, Eddie Murphy: it just doens't get more uninspired than that.

We saw the preview for this one at Eragon tonight. A couple of laugh-out-loud moments made us think it might be worth seeing. Shrek 2 was far better than Shrek - perhaps the upwards trend will continue?

Maybe so but I think the Shrek films are very much like cotton candy. While they're funny as hell the first time you watch them I don't think they'll have jack worth of longevity. Will anyone 50 years from now get the COPS reference or the white bronco reference? Doubtful, but I'm sure they'll still sympathize with Mr. Incredible's difficulty in raising a family. :slywink:

I don't know how good this could be. My friends and I all enjoyed the first Shrek, the second one was well done and didn't kill the first one, but this one looks to be more of the same jokes and it looks to be losing its steam. Reminds me of another Mike Myers film trilogy. Austin Powers was great, but by the third movie, while it had its funny parts, it wasn't as charming or interesting.
